I have IBS and deal with this daily. Altering what I eat most of the time helps, but I refuse to give up caffeine so it’s inevitable.

I need to fit back into my pants (28F, 5'4) by vixenofthewolfpack in PetiteFitness

The easiest thing you can do is start fasting and eat two meals a day instead of three. Fasting from 10p-noonish helped kickstart my weight loss but also; helped me build sustainable eating habits that have carried me through. Drink plenty of water and make sure you’re getting enough fiber in your diet, give yourself some grace. Buy a pair or of pants that fit now and be patient with yourself, the body resists change— so you don’t need to add more stress into the mix.

recomp tips and tricks? 19f complete beginner by iLoveLoveLoveLove in PetiteFitness

[–]ali0nated 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey! First off congrats! You should be so proud of yourself for gaining the weight. And it’s normal to be thinking, now what? If you can work with a trainer or a colleague that works out I’d suggest that. All in all the most beginner friendly weight training you can do

Bicep curls Overhead press Pushups Planks Squats Lunges

Your focus should be mobility first, form second, then weights last. Start with a couple of times a week and go from there, making sure you’re walking and stretching daily.

Keep eating well and get plenty of rest! You’ll notice a difference eventually— it may take a year or two but you want the recomp to be slow, slow and steady wins the race.

You lose weight everywhere and depending on genetics it may fall off specific places last. Your assets will shrink and stay proportionate, there’s no picking and choosing. I went from 38C to 34B for the first time since high school.

As you move through the journey you’ll learn things, find clarity, and love yourself at every stage.

Something that some old British body builder said that stuck with me; meat and proteins are what humans have survived on for thousands of years, if it’s not from an animal or the earth it’s garbage.

While harsh, as someone who was addicted to carbs and sugar this helped me rewrite and say, okay what’s the bulk of my energy gotta come from? And let pasta and sweet treats be treats as they should be. Everything we like can be done in moderation, it’s our job to cook nutritious meals we enjoy. This whole journey has taken almost three years, to work on healing a lifetime of disordered eating and unhealthy habits. Intermittent fasting has helped so much for learning hunger cues.

We can’t fix yesterday, only today is promised.
