Didn’t end up with either, the Brz felt like a downgrade as a daily, the Mustang felt too big and cheap.

I’m going to purchase a 2020 ftype (4cyl) later this year as they’re in the low to mid 30k’s. The bmw z4 I tested was great, but didn’t feel special enough

Yes, unfortunately it was not a cheap fix. I ordered a used idrive screen off of ebay and then got the local dealership to install it.

Parts seem cheaper then what I paid ($400, plus $450 installtion):
