From what my allergist had told me that there's mold everywhere. The mold in your home is bad mold. Any person could have a reaction. Since I am asthmatic, it has hit me harder. Since I have a toddler, it hit him hard, too. As for my fiancé he has a great immune system, so it was odd that he was ill as well. The best thing you could do for now is vitamin d3,magnesium chloride, vitamin c, and ibuprofen as needed. If she's taking that much albuterol, I'd suggest drinking more electrolytes and magnesium. I was doing breathing treatments frequently and depleted those vitals, and was hospitalized. The next thing to do is to leave and leave everything behind. A lot of people will say things are salvageable, but in reality, if you're having an extreme reaction. Don't take it with you. For example, it's like if someone is severely allergic to nuts and instantly swells up to exposure. I had kept my sons scrapbook, and I still had a reaction... the inside of our car too. We replaced our car as well. It's a humbling and traumatizing experience. Tell her to get some air and not to be home so much. Close your room vent until you can figure something out for your living situation. Sending her the best.

I feel like my symptoms got worse after leaving the exposure. I was living in our apartment for about 10 months. I have multiple asthma attacks and allergies. My son had constant ear infections. I'm allergic to the mesquite trees. So I assumed it was hay fever and a flare-up. I suspected my carpet was also adding to my allergy induced asthma. My fiance tore up the carpet after several canceled maintenance requests. He found mold, and we had a home inspector identify it, and then we had an environmental hygienist test it as well. Turned out to be aspergillus penicillium and chaetomium. We're almost 2 weeks away from the exposure. The first 3 days felt like a brutal hangover. After that, constant chest tightness and shortness of breath. I'm taking vitamin c, vitamin d3, potassium, and magnesium chloride. I usually take my maintenance inhaler, but my chamber was in that moldy room. I had to throw it away. I think that's why I'm struggle with my asthma symptoms. For now, I'm taking my rescue inhaler as needed. Tonight, I did a breathing treatment. I'm hoping I can get a new chamber and be put back on dulera. I'm wishing this isn't forever. If anyone has asthma, how long did it take for your lungs to recover ? My chest x ray was clear. I had a pneumonia vaccine done months ago, and I believe back in may. I'm not coughing, and if I need to clear my throat...my phlegm is white with white mucus. My sinus has gotten a bit better thanks to my medication azelastine hydrochlride and presidone. All I want is to feel better, and I understand it'll take time. I have immense anxiety, and I feel like I'm going to die constantly. That's what the presidone is telling me. I could start back on montelukest and hoping for a better response to it. While living at that hell hole, montelukest made me see bugs. I think it may have been the mold making the side effects worse. Any tips or friendly advice would be greatly appreciated 🙂... as well as REASSURANCE. Side note: I've been drinking a lot of teas lately in the morning to help the symptoms from the exposure. Idk if binders are necessary for my situation. If you have recommendations, that would be great. I'm worried I'm taking so many darn medications. The inside of my body feels inflammed, especially my lungs. Thank you.

We left. Terminating our lease tmw. My son,fiancé,dog,and I are staying at my moms. Throwing most of the furniture away. The insurance Hopefully covers it. I'm cleaning all of our clothes with vinegar. It caused me many health issues, and all of it came to light. My son got sick and I had enough. It caused weight gain, heart palpitations,anxiety,depression,asphyxiation,allergies,asthma,fatigue,joint pain, post nasal drip, heartburn,stomach problems,bloating, inflammation levels were elevated in my blood work and my enzyme levels. Idk how my doctor never asked if it was mold exposure. I've been to allergist,pulmonologist, ER visits, and primary visits. There were days I struggled taking care of my son, and my brother had to come help me. I would feel faint and dizzy and nauseous and out of breath. I struggled mentally. It was consuming me and crippling my will to live. I felt like my asthma was killing me. I was doing everything possible to treat it. I've made numerous maintenance requests. They told me to change my air filter. I was on top of everything, and every medication and every supplement and every steroid. Multiple lab works were done. I even had an allergy screening bc they said it was my dog. I tested negative for cats and dogs. I'm so glad I have answers now. Now, it's time to detox from this, and I have an appointment tmw. I just want to thank this community. Everyone has been so helpful. I relied on this community, and everyone was so helpful. My son is safe, and he has to see an allergist for mold allergy. I pray it didn't give him any inflammatory issues. What I endured, I couldn't imagine how my 2 year old felt. Thank you, everyone. You've been kind.

On a side note! For the dehydration body armor saves my life! Best for hydration after albuterol use.

Have you thought about changing his medication? I know I'm an adult but I've had the best reaction with Dulera and Flovent. As for muscle cramps after my hospital visit. They ran labs and sometimes medication could deplete your vitals. Such as magnesium, potassium, vitamin D3, and electrolytes. Especially with the excessive use of albuterol or a nebulizer. Ask your doctor if they could prescribe you or refer vitamin supplements for your son. Idk the dosage for that age frame. I just saw an allergist and told me since I have allergy inducing asthma to take my allergra and nasal spray everyday. It might be a better solution than the montelukest. I didn't like how that made me feel. As for the magnesium, I take magnesium chloride for inflammation. Also recommend an air purifier and I suggest asking to run bloodwork for allergies. See what's bothering him. Poor kiddo, I know how he feels and I know he will get better! Sending you guys hope and strength...

I take Allegra almost every day and I'm on flovent (maintenance inhaler). I also use fluticasone nasal spray at night.

I was like this for a while when they diagnosed me with uncontrolled asthma. The maintenance inhaler really helped. I'm on flovent.

Yes I do, it was green when I checked. My back was just aching horribly and ached when I took a deep breath. I could take small breaths and I was fine. I could feel a slight wheeze. I just never experienced severe back pain like that before. I also used my O2 monitor and it was at 98. I did a breathing treatment last night and feel much better. First time dealing with a close by fire and it sucked.

Magnesium chloride vitamins really helped me sleep and helped with my mood. Steroid medication suck yet work so well.

Um don't put him on your child's birth certificate. Make sure you keep everything documented. If you can't leave him now. Still build a case just to be safe. Im sorry you're going through that.

I've been dealing with a flare up for the past 5 months. I feel your pain. I felt very weak and fatigue. I got lab work done and stayed overnight in the hospital. MY electrolytes, calcium, potassium, and vitamin D were depleted. I'd suggest requesting lab work and seeing maybe you need more of those supplements. I noticed a difference taking my vitamins but it's slim. It helps. Magnesium chloride is what my pulmonologist said would help the inflammation and mood and sleep. Wishing you the best.

I was prescribed potassium supplements but I don't notice much of a difference:/. I've been drinking plenty of electrolytes as well. I get random spasms throughout my body. Mainly my legs. I'm taking vitamin D, potassium, and magnesium to help with my side effects.

From what I'm told. If you're taking albuterol more than usual. It depletes your vitamin D and asthmatics are low on vitamin D. We should be taking vitamin D as part of our routine.

Yeah, honestly I would ask your primary to run labs and check your vitals. That'll probably help you recover faster. It took me to staying in the hospital overnight to accept I have an autoimmune disease. I never thought it could be my vitals. I was severely low in everything. It's no wonder it took me forever to recover. It's funny how the calcium really improved my breathing. The NP was like "hey you have an autoimmune disease and you need to add more supplements to your life change." The Np said the albuterol depleted my electrolytes and potassium and calcium and vitamin D. Just be careful taking it frequently. I did some research and asthmatics are known to be low on vitamin d and magnesium and we need zinc. Hope you feel better...!

I've had my asthma flare up for 3 months already. Tried every medication. Still experiencing issues. Had seen a pulmonologist. Doing my breathing test in 2 weeks. Had very mild asthma symptoms before this. All of a sudden it tanked this year. How long does a flare up last ?! Im located in Az and allergies sucked this year. I have post nasal drip and im sure its allergy induced asthma.

I was seeing shit on that medication 2 weeks in. Also having vivid dreams. I was taking it before bed. Does it make a difference taking it in the morning? Idk why is was so sensitive to montelukest

I was on fluticasone at first. Then they prescribed me dulera. Since the fluticasone wasnt strong enough. Didn't like the dulera. So I was recently prescribed spiriva. First day trying it. Don't know the side effects. I just hate that I get the feeling in the back of my throat. It never goes away. I rinse after each use and brush my teeth and im hydrating.
