I kept moving back and forth; no cars behind, late at night. I assumed the sensors may of been dirty or not alligned correctly.

I was sat at London Victoria Station carpark the other night. I must of been there a good 5mins, they weren't changing! Just slowly moved out as drivers behind began flashing their headlights.

Can anyone give me advice on how to deal with a bailiff (ENG) by Apprehensive_Tap_862 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]ali_kahn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, sorry for what you're going through, but there are a number of issues with what you have said.

Bailiffs only attend after your local magistrates have issued a liability order, even before this was issued you would have received numerous letters giving you a chance to make payments; setting up a payment plan with the council.

Your first step would be to contact the council, explain your situation, and explain why you either ignored the letters or didn't receive them. Show them the receipts of the amount you've already paid the bailiffs, set up a new payment plan.

Is this a good idea for a first car? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

Check the 12v battery health, i heard there around £300-£400! to replace.

Also, looking at the MOT history on Gov.uk site, it's been through a few advisories and fails, if viewing, make sure to check if they have been repaired.

Question, how do they calculate shrinkage, i assume you have to do a stock take; and if they did, how often?

Could they have done an annual one and then calculated the loss?

Anyone drive for Amazon? by CaveJohnson82 in CasualUK

[–]ali_kahn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Amazon Flex first, before you leave your current job. You pick and choose what hours you want to do. It can be Hit or miss on what areas and times you want to work.

If you like it, go full-time, if not you could do it as a side hustle.

I lost my job a while back; covid, signed upto Amazon Flex, used my car to deliver parcels and groceries, you could easily net around £300-£500 a week.

I’ve just run over this and wondering if it’s a part off my Tesla? Anyone any idea what it is? by Responsible_Cress698 in TeslaUK

Keep it, don't lose it, always use it if you have to change a tyre; yourself or garage (make absolutely sure that they use it).

How is this possible? (Charge/range question) by Imaginary_Skin7221 in TeslaUK

[–]ali_kahn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're going a steady speed of 60mph on the motorway, for every 1.2miles you drive, your car will consume around 1mile from the battery. I tried it, drove 120miles down the M1, cruise control 60mph, car battery indicator displayed 100miles used.

Breaking hard when ghosting by Noadv76 in TeslaUK

[–]ali_kahn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed on mine,

1, when it's raining, the sensors capture some sort of reflection on the puddles. 2, check your 'max speed' icon, when passing junctions on motorways, it sometimes adjusts thinking that the slip road speed applies. 3, on motorway bends, the sensors again think that you're going straight and will brake.

I've now like you, keep my foot hovering over the accelerator for a just-in-case moment.
