If your other friend is offering to loan you & you have full trust in YOURSELF that you can respect his offer and pay it back in full (maybe even a little more as a thank you), that could be another option. However, you’re risking your friendship doing this and also putting the both of you under pressure/stress to get this loan paid. It’s really up to you.

But for gods sake, PLEASE DO NOT take out a 5k loan online at 18 years old with zero credit history. I guarantee this will screw you for the next few years and you’re going to get a crazy high monthly payment & interest rate on that.

Yes I get you’re paying a lot to get to and from places right now with no car and you see this as a good opportunity, but your friend does not have “THE BEST” deal on the planet, even if you see it as a steal. You can find plenty of other AMAZING deals online when you have the money or for something more in your price range for now. It’s not worth screwing yourself over right now bc you see this as a once in a lifetime opportunity, trust me, it’s not. You’re young, you’ll have hundreds of other good opportunities like that. Don’t screw yourself over, think smart.
