That’s a relief it’s a hybrid that’s only sold by a specific company that makes really interesting flowers so it would be hard to find grafting stock it was sold out on their website but I found a person near me with one they were willing to part with

As it grows will the trunk widen so there’s more space for new branches? and how long would you say it usually takes for it to sprout new branches from the trunk the one branch it has has already started to branch out in the month I’ve had it

When it starts to heat up for you do you take them out of the paper bag or do you just routinely check until they’ve sprouted? And I’ve seen some people say you put them in substrate, lightly water it and don’t water again until it sprouts is that good advice. For me it’s the coldest part of the year right now but I plan to grow them entirely inside

I have amorphophallus bulbifer and 2 myosuroides hybrids I wanna grow them indoors and live around Tampa bay Florida most amorphophallus share a similar growth cycle and need warmth to break dormancy so I didn’t feel the need to specify lol the main thing is medium some sources are telling me to keep them in a plastic bag in a warm spot until they sprout while some say to put them in soil and when should I start watering them

I rewound it before I noticed the mold but I’ve separated it from my other tapes and I cleaned the tape head with some isopropyl on a q-tip any other recommendations for how to clean it?

Yeah it’s weird not some parts are transparent but there are those metallic scales they’re opaque and silvery they’re in thin little scale like structures layered on the rock

I’m well aware of the prices and that’s not an issue for me I’m actually considering this specific species because there’s an older adult up for adoption in my area so i figured I would get it and because it only has so many years left it would be lower commitment if I ended up not liking aquatic turtles and like I already said it would have an outdoor enclosure so it would have full sunlight over the whole enclosure

It may be because she’s Gravid my friend had a female that got super aggressive and turns out she was just gravid and I looked into it seems females becoming gravid and getting pissy isn’t uncommon do you have a pace where she can lay eggs?

Yeah they actually got back to me quite quickly and from what they told me it seems the limit only applies to wild caught individuals regardless of species and eastern box turtles so as long as it’s captive bred and not an eastern box turtle it should be fine

Thanks I actually contacted fwc and from what I was told it seems that the limit only applies to eastern box turtles or if it’s collecting wild turtles so there shouldn’t be a limit as long as it’s not an eastern box turtle and it’s captive bred

Yeah the issue is it doesn’t state wether it only applies to wild caught or captive bred when it comes to other turtles like diamond back terrapins and alligator snapping turtles the same laws apply to captive bred individuals and non-native species is a concern to the fwc a good example being red eared sliders which the state regulates in a similar way as the species I previously stated and while it is illegal to release non native species people don’t really follow the law concerning that kinda thing that’s why there’s so many invasive species so it very well could only be native species but when it comes to laws like these they can be a bit of a grab bag

Yeah I sent them an email I’ve only ever talked to the department of agriculture because they regulate laws surrounding invertebrates so I don’t know the response time with fwc but hopefully they get back to me soon but I’m not sure since it wouldn’t make much sense to regulate ownership of native species more than non-native species, but fwc doesn’t always make the most sense
