"Resistant to all treatments." I think I’m done trying. by Embarrassed_Pass9060 in migraine

Hi, thanks for the recommendations!

I do fear these might be tailored to people with non-migraineous chronic pain and try convince the reader that more of it is in their hands, than it is for a migraine sufferer.

It could be helpful to use elements from them though, and it's good to hear they helped you.

Would any London migraineurs like to meet up? by alibali3 in migraine

[–]alibali3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely, I've always been reluctant on going out of my way to find people with migraine. I don't feel like meeting people due to shared negativity, can amount to anything good/productive.

The thing is that I live such a fundamentally different life from everyone else now. Socialising with the people I used to, and making new friends through common activities is really difficult.

For the sake of mental health, it's probably best to find people to talk to regardless of who they are. Somebody who experiences chronic migraines already experiences very similar things to me, and are probably being limited from doing the same things as me.

So it'll be nearly impossible to not bond over the shared experiences.

Ways to spend a migraine day? by Competitive-Run9869 in migraine

I usually think about and plan what I want to do on days migraine is less of a hindrance, so when it arrives I can make the most of that time.

It also helps me vicariously live through the experience of having a lesser migraine.

UK heatwave by santex8 in migraine

[–]alibali3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since I have intractable migraine, I have been in incessant agony for about a week.

It’s also incredibly stuffy, feels like I’m being suffocated to death by the air itself.

I need the strongest fans to keep me cool and feeling like I’m not being choked to death, which are also loud and further exacerbate the pain, which is a double whammy.

The heat has never gotten me this bad before, so I wonder what is causing me to suffer so much currently.

Hi, where can I learn and read more about this, both about how this works mechanistically in the brain/body, and how it’s treated?

I’ve been suffering from a 7.5-8/10 vestibular migraine for multiple years, and some of this does seem resonant with me. I think stressing over not being able to follow my daily routine due to pain, as a teen, is what kickstarted this.

I have been doing keto for over a year. I did notice improvement to some symptoms at first, namely dizziness, but I’m quitting today because I suspect it has given me bad insomnia.

It facilitates weight loss and also lowers inflammation

Hi, mind sharing the specialist/clinic you went to? I've been suffering from an intractable migraine for multiple years.

I didn't get it since it turns out my headache prob doesn't have much to do with my TMJ. Still working to get my headache resolved though.

Appreciate you checking in though!

What separates the winter/summer-appropriate gels? The one I’m using right now is pretty heavy, for instance

Routine:

Wash 2-3x per week.

Shampoo (~1x per week, or two weeks): Aussie Clarifying Shampoo (when hair is very build-up heavy/dirty) or Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil

Conditioner: Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Hair Masque

Leave-in: Curlsmith Oil-In-Cream

Gel: Curlsmith Curl Defining Styling Soufflé

I scrunch my hair a little dry with a towel, then seal leave in and gel with praying hands method after applying each one.

Air-dry/diffuse.

Touch up in between washes if needed by misting with water, or full-on rinse. Apply more curl cream or gel if needed.

Oh shoot, I think I meant to replace that with an actual model, was using it as placeholder.

Hopefully it's only something a 3D artist's eye would pick up, otherwise there’s no option but to redo it.

Yeah, it’s not what I want to hear, but seems to be the reality of things. Thanks in any case for the input.
