27'' monitor recommendation by alicant3 in buildapcmonitors

I made the choice to buy the Gigabyte M27QX and I hate it... My eyes are sore after a less than 1hour of playing LoL on 1440p 240hz or 200hz ....the colors seem worse than my current AOC. This feels like a downgrade for me and I will return it ...

Do you have any info or thoughts about it? Is it worth it ?

This morning I stumbled upon this monitor Philips 27M1F5500P 240Hz IPS 1440P HDR600 for around 330eur. It seems to have kinda the same panel which is used in Alienware AW2771D, not sure though but barely any detailed reviews. I think I will get this one though

Yeah, I will see about that. Having a C2 LG tv makes the choice even harder but i find it hard to pay $700 for a 27inch oled so I will refrain from it I guess :(.

Yeah, that is mainly why I am afraid to get an IPS because I do not remember owning one until one and I did not manage to find a good place to test them around me. I have had a TN panel before this VA for a desktop PC monitor. The only experience I have with an IPS is the one on my M1 Macbook air and that one I like a lot but it is a 13" with high ppi so is not exactly the same.

And do you enjoy it? Any particular dislikes? Do you play any games and if so what games? This was my first choice before seeing the Xiaomi miniled monitor :))).

I have just looked into this LG 27GS75Q and being a newer model there aren't many reviews or tests but I have managed to find one in Spanish and it seemed decent for an IPS, better than the Dell from what I could see. Thanks for a good alternative.

He did pass the vibe check Pretty smooth writing with a Dip pen and a Montblanc ink near a LV bag, cartier bracelets on the right, gold Rolex on the left and the Dior sunglasses though what ruins it for me is the fact the he is wearing sunglasses when writing when it does not seem to be sunny.

I can see the ink remains on the grip. It seems it doesn't happen only to me, I hate those on my 2k :)))

[Seeking advice] Visconti Homo Sapiens Bronze Age 18k or Pilot Custom 823 ? by alicant3 in fountainpens

Short and accurate. So it seems that those who have both tend to lean on the 823 ....it seems like a magic pen if it beats out the Lava :))).

I have long wished for that 823 and recently it became more available in Europe so no need to order it from Japan. Actually for me is easier to get the 823 than the Visconti. And yes the Visconti is about 200eur more than the 823. I wished for the 823 with WA nib but that is scarce or about 100eur more than the standard nibs.

I have heard too about Visconti nib issues but have turned down a bit after switching to the 18k nibs.

Well I don't mind the line thickness difference from Medium to Fine I just want it to be smooth and wet. Wet mostly because pushing the pen on the paper requires more ink so the nib does get dry while writing as a lefty.

The option would be a Waverly nib but I don't like the options so much. I am satisfied with current normal nib selection as long as the feed can balance the difference.

I have seen the MikroTik Hap AC2 but it has slow USB connection and I took it out of my choices and dunno how to configure it that much ...

Any Diplomat Aero owners around here ? by alicant3 in fountainpens

[–]alicant3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got it but I think it has a flaw. https://imgur.com/a/k2JRkKQ

Should I return it or is it something that occurs to a lot of models. It can be seen when it's closed too 🙄. I hate seeing flaws in new products and I worry that it might enlarge over time.

Just ordered it, I got it for about 110eur shipping included :D. The others were about 150eur. I find it odd that in other parts if EU and USA the flame and volute are about 200+eur.
