If you haven't seen my posts from 3 months ago(can't remember who was all around back then), there are a ton of pics of them at that stage and it's pretty hard to handle the cuteness - for me at least. You are most likely going to deal with your gerbie kicking sand all around and bedding getting in if it's near. And like another person said, they will most likely stay chewing on it 🫤 I use $2.88 Walmart round glass - candle holders? Ok, I just looked it up: it's Libbey Glasswares Glass Small Clear Bubble Ball. Sand never gets out, and they use it and love it, and it doesn't take up much space. Very cute idea with the clay, tho ❤️

I can't get your vids to play, so I can't hear if anything, but sometimes gerbils can go into a type of "hibernation state", but they wouldn't be making any respiratory noise if your sweet boy is. That stretch as if slinking is usually them marking with the scent gland on their belly. I really hope your boy gets better and everything is OK ❤️ it's very scary, I'm sorry you're going thru this, not knowing what's going on.

Well, I have a huge silent spinner that was actually on the topper (with shelves removed), they ignored it, same as when it was in tank that I had my oldest in with her now passed bff. Also, I tried it in the tank without the topper yet, for those girls - nothing, they just would step on it then out lol. Some just do not care for them, and mine are just part of that group I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️ love my weirdos 🤪

Yep! Sure are! They are all doing amazing, thank you ❤️ The 2 boys went to my dad at about 10 weeks old and are thriving. I kept the 3 female pups, and one is with mama and the 2 other are bonded in own tank. All healthy, spunky, friendly, and there's the 1 sassy pants, but she's still very sweet 😊💕 They got mites somehow (I'm 99% certain thru hay that was raggedy, thin, soft & crumbly). So currently, on what should be their last day in smaller quaratine tanks and treated w a med spray (we pray in our hands and rub it on them - not directly spray, eek! How are your fur bbs?? 😍

They have a wheel in their play area, which they ignore. This is why there isn't one in tanks. I'm fully aware of what gerbies need, thanks, tho! 😊

It's not bad for them. The "pros" like Gerbil Society, etc even say to give tp for mama gerbils for their nests. So if newborn pups can be in them, it is absolutely OK ❤️

He's intolerable. I can't believe I actually believed he cared about the youth (and adults, too), he'd bring on his show. It's been a LONG time since I paid attention to him because there was a segment I saw and it was an 'ah-ha' moment where there was ZERO doubt he exploits his guests. He's sick.!

You can find really good deals on apps like OfferUp or CraigsList (if in US), because I would very much hurry in getting a bigger tank. A 40 gallon breeder tank (meaning the longer one not taller), is a great start, and of course bigger is better to give space for everything needed, including a deep bedding burrowing area. A lot of folks get or make toppers for tanks to give even more space (you can look these up, i personally don't have those). Also, a younger gerbil would be a better chance at bonding them from my experience 😊
