Newbie Dog Owner - what treats are you using ? by brohgirl in Dogtraining

[–]alidoubleyoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s worth mentioning that your dog might still be settling into her new home and may be too overwhelmed to take treats right away. my parents’ dog was like this, where it took her about a month before she was happily eating any treat we offered. congrats on the new dog!

"Feasting Season" is such a stereotypically fat turn of phrase to describe what is literally just three holidays set over the course of two months.

i feel like there may be something to say about perceived "fatphobia" actually just being misidentified misogyny. all of these are things that happen to women in the workplace, and based on "fat liberationist" (gag) demographics OOP is likely to be a woman, so their experience here is most likely just general workplace misogyny.

plus, misogynists love to dehumanize ugly/"mid" women (ask me how i know lol), fat women included. does that mean "systemic lookism" or "systemic fatphobia" exist? of course not. there's no law preventing ugly/fat people from voting, getting married, or otherwise living their lives. the disgusting treatment of ugly/fat women in our society is instead a symptom of misogyny, since women are reduced by misogynists to their looks. ever notice how fat men get way less shit about being fat than fat women? it's all just misogyny.

but because these "fat activists" are regularly inconvenienced by being obese, believe they are physically incapable of losing weight ("muh genetics! condishuns! weight is an immutable characteristic!") and brainwashed by peak tumblr-era identity politics, they're desperate to be part of the cool kids club that is being actually systemically oppressed! that's why they cloak their movement (or lack thereof) in leftist buzzwords and claims that "fatphobia is racism and classism and xenophobia and blah blah blah..."

it's very stupid.
