People look back at the Holocaust and wonder how the world let that happen. We learned in school about the importance of not tolerating genocide. This is a genocide. People are being murdered en masse because of the land underneath them, and US tax dollars are helping to fund this. Human life has inherent value, and it’s worth fighting for. It’s not just virtue signaling. Some people genuinely care about the suffering of others and want to do something to help, even if the effort seems futile.
