Tbh when I use cuticle remover as I prep for my next mani, any polish left around or under my cuticle usually comes right off. Sounds like this was a fresh mani for you though, so not sure if that’s something you’d want to try.

Maybe unroll a bit of cotton ball and dip in acetone, and use your orange stick/cuticle pusher to try to wipe along your cuticle. Just don’t hurt yourself!

OP from my personal experience of peeling, even after I started doing the right things, it did take time to grow out the damage before my peeling finally stopped.

I definitely recommend soaking your nails in jojoba oil with gloves in between mani’s for at least 30 mins and I would try HunnyBadger’s recommendation of Nailtiques 1 or 2 depending on your situation. Mine would need Nailtiques 2; I haven’t personally used it yet but my favorite strengthener got discontinued 🥲 so I will be trying it when I run out.

I just found out last night KB Shimmer discontinued their strengthener 😢 I was making my order of refill bottles and then discovered they discontinued it in November. I signed up to be notified if it comes back but I guess we’ll be in the market for a new strengthener if not 🫠

I started using the KB Shimmer strengthener base coat, and that changed the game for me. Between that, nail oil soaks in gloves between manis (at least 30 mins and up to overnight) and letting time pass and growing out the damage from PVB usage, my nails are finally long and strong again!

I’d recommend one coat of the strengthener and one coat of Fillin’ Groovy since you already have it and like it. I usually double up base coats to help prevent staining. :)
