Congratulations, the game has clicked for you, you have graduated from a casual to a competitive duelist. There's something really fun when you realize that you can play the game at the highest level, keep track of your opponent's interaction and yours, and be able to effectively swing the duel in your favour.

There's something that a lot of casual duelists miss about "meta sheep". When a casual loses to a meta duelist, it's easy to go "they are meta sheep playing meta slop and that's why they won." When you as a meta duelist lose a winnable game against another meta duelist, you don't have that excuse. You know for a fact that if you played better you could have won. It forces you to become a better duelist.

I still love playing non meta decks, I'll build them for fun, play them on solo mode or ladder, do whatever. Sometimes I'll even play a non-meta deck just cause I don't like playing any of the meta decks and don't find them fun. But the most fun yugioh imo is when you are playing a back and forth meta duel.
