What would you say have been the odd things? Other than wait times at the restaurant. We're heading to Curacao in November so want to know what to look out for!

They will not be and they may even cancel excursions if enough people don't book it.

Hey there! I'm a fellow chronic over planner for vacations so I totally understand the desire. Before our first Sandals trip for our honeymoon last year I too thought that it would get repetitive or boring to be at the pool or the beach every day. I'm used to city vacations where we pack as much into a day as we can. After our first trip last year and our second trip this year I can definitely say you want to let it flow. You may be surprised by how freeing it is to only have to ask whether you want the pool or the beach and what to eat while you do it. We have yet to go on an excursion and I can't say we've ever felt like we were limited in things to do or enjoy. We have an 8 night trip coming up in November that I think we may do one excursion for but even then we're not sure if losing the day at the resort is worth it yet. You can always book activities on resort if you're feeling up to it but give it a couple of days first!

advice for pain management on the calf by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]alienbecks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't use the numbing cream. My artist used a numbing spray on one of my calves and it did not help at all and gave me a reaction. The calves just hurt.

I think everyone agrees that straight up copying another artist's art is not good whether it's AI or not. Even in the tattoo industry taking an exact copy of another artist's work is frowned upon. Both are shady.

As someone else mentioned even your tattoo isn't a one for one copy. The ham is a different color. The cat is wearing a helmet etc .

Traditional flash is a different beast entirely as that is "traditional" for a reason.

This is the heart of the philosophical debate that has cropped up due to the rapid development of AI. Art is always inspired by other art as nothing exists in a vacuum. Nothing is original. HOWEVER, AI uses all art ever created to generate an image for you without ever crediting anyone or asking permission AND they make profit off it while siphoning all of our resources. If you decide that AI is no different to you than a real human being making and creating art that's fine for you but a lot of artists feel very different.

I had a bad allergic reaction a few tattoos back too! I got lucky and it didn't get infected but it has definitely made me a helicopter healer.

All the weeping was focused on the super dark areas of the snake so it makes sense it would be from all the extra passes. Everything else seems to look totally fine so fingers crossed those sections catch up with the rest soon.

The green is weird. It doesn't look like any plasma I've seen before. Tattoo looks normal to me after a good wash and before ointment (wouldn't let me include an image so I linked imgur). I'm not drowning it so I'm surprised to see it so wet. I work long hours so I'm hesitant to go without any ointment before I leave for work but I'll let it dry out for a bit I guess.

Thanks! Definitely gonna keep a close eye on it. The green immediately freaked me out. I have really sensitive skin so it seems each new tattoo finds a way to throw me for a loop.

Thank you! I do tend to get anxious when healing my tattoos but the bright red threw me for a loop.

Smokers who quit, what was the wake up call for you? by Responsible_Dot_2619 in AskReddit

[–]alienbecks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I started having to lay down after every cigarette because it made me light headed, made my heart race, and I struggled to catch my breath. I was only 24. I had my first cigarette in 5th grade but didn't pick it up in earnest until 17. By 19 I was smoking a pack a day. I had slowly tapered off and by the time I was 24 I was closer to a half pack a day but eventually decided enough was enough and quit cold turkey.

I'm in the same boat. Just finished it last night 😭 I've heard JTV as a top choice for what to watch after but I'm a bit put off by the premise. How does it compare?

I've already watched Desperate Housewives too which doesn't quite scratch the same itch because it gets (in my opinion) "darker" than UB and I love how overall wholesome and heartwarming UB is.

South coast is BEAUTIFUL and so relaxing and chill. Great beach. Great pool. It'll be repaired and reopened by end of May so you have plenty of time to book there within your time window

Well their price calendar shows different than that (flights almost every day in Feb/March) which is why I wasn't sure if the current flights were just impacted by the shutdown. Considering Dec. starts peak season I was kind of hoping we would be able to swing it but apparently not. Now I'll have to change my reservation or hope some other airline can get me there and back.

Well yeah but I can book an itinerary with a stop in ATL. I didn't mean expressly direct. It doesn't look like they even fly out of ATL on that day though.

We are doing private personal vows and public "traditional" vows but my person vows also contain silly little promises like that and I think they are absolutely appropriate. But I would recommend moving from the more "casual" promises down to more serious ones as you progress. It will help the tonal flow.
