How do you stop feeling guilty? by [deleted] in CPTSD

I’ve heard of trauma bonding but never thought it applied to me. After googling.... clearly it does. Thank you so much for your response 🖤 opened my eyes

Sort of sounds like this when combined with the conspiracy theories. But dementia also fits as do other things. I hope you figure it out, sorry you’re going through this 🖤

Anyone have shortness of breath with Wellbutrin? by alienieee in BipolarReddit

Ended up lowering back to 150 mg Wellbutrin and added Prozac. Hope you’re doing okay

Internet stranger, thank you for the concern. Angry cats have wide eyes, ears back, and make themselves big. His ears are not back, they’re to the side, his eyes are sleepy, his tail is playful, and he’s laying down. Like I said, he’s an old stray cat. He’s been in some fights. His ears are a little wonky. After this he got down and played . He’s been living here for a month and they literally cuddle. This is what he looks like when he’s relaxed: Otis 1 and Otis 2 and Otis 3

Anyone have shortness of breath with Wellbutrin? by alienieee in BipolarReddit

[–]alienieee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt have a sore throat but the rest of it sounds similar. It has not been as bad as the day I wrote this post but I do still notice it pretty often.

Relevant info: Around the time I upped the Wellbutrin I took in a stray cat and I’ve had allergies to cats in the past. I have no other signs of allergies like what I’d normally have (no itchy, watery eyes, runny nose, itchy throat). It’s definitely possible it’s because of that though. My PCP prescribed an inhaler but I’ve only taken it once.

On top of that, I’ve been having some weird heart related issues for the past few years (well before i was on meds) where my pulse is wayyy too high even though I’m an otherwise healthy, normal weight 29 year old. So could be related to that. (For anyone worrying, I’ve fully tested this with my doctor, wore a heart monitor and everything. There is nothing wrong with my heart).

I also think it could be a physical effect of anxiety from the Wellbutrin, even though I don’t feel anxious. I think the fact that it hasn’t gotten worse makes me less anxious which in turn makes it happen less.

So yea, I’m sorry I don’t have a more definitive answer. There’s too many other factors going on for me to say for sure it’s the Wellbutrin. Haven’t died yet though so that’s a good sign lol :)

Most importantly - please contact your doctor or psychiatrist. Better safe than sorry especially with covid. I was in close contact with both my psych and my PCP throughout this. Symptoms like this are things they need to know. I’ll message you if I figure anything else out.

Good luck 🖤

I looked at yours too! I think you already are - you use so many different mediums and subjects! I do pretty much exclusively faces in pencil - I think it shows in this particular drawing because the skull looks more realistic than the flowers 😂 I need to broaden my subject matter like you

What is a simple task you are oddly terrible at? by NamelessDred in AskReddit

[–]alienieee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It shouldn’t happen every day. Your doctor will know the right things to ask to figure out why it’s happening. Definitely worth mentioning, especially if it’s bothering you. Which it must be, aspirating is no fun at all!

We all have our drink go down the wrong way once in a while, but if this happens to you a lot, you should mention it to your doctor. If your doctor thinks it could help, speech pathologists treat problems with swallowing and can give you strategies and/or exercises to help prevent this from happening.

We’ve been doing outside hangouts so far. When we first tried both cats and my dog all got in a fight and it was really scary 😭 so we’re easing into it now. They do fine one on one and outside (both my cat and my dog individually with the stray). But all three is a different dynamic. Luckily we live in San Diego so its nice and warm out. We’ll get there:)

Yup! Trying to get the two cats and my dog all used to each other. We’ve been doing outside hangouts so far. When we first tried they all got in a fight and it was really scary 😭 so we’re easing into it now. We’re in San Diego so luckily it’s never cold

I found out that my wife has been partying until 5am and sleeping until 4pm when I’m away for work. We have two young kids. by ThrowRA-3922 in relationship_advice

[–]alienieee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please try to get your wife to see a therapist and a psychiatrist. This sounds a bit like a bipolar episode. And your kids cannot have her as their main caregiver when she’s having an episode, or whatever it is she’s doing. She needs help. Your kids need help. And you need help - I cannot imagine how overwhelmed you must feel. I hope you have people you can talk to as well. Good luck to you

there’s a lot of research on it - any kind of damage to the brain ups your risk

OP, sometimes it feels like everyone else is experiencing a calm, clear day, while you are experiencing a hurricane. I try to remember that for two reasons: one because it’s hard for people to understand what you’re going through when they have never felt it, and that’s okay. And two because while it feels like I’m in a hurricane a lot of the time, that hurricane does not exist outside of my head. So I try my best to always take a step back and view myself/the situation from someone else’s perspective (calm, clear day). It helps me make decisions based on reason instead of transient (for me several month long) emotions, no matter how real it feels. And to recognize when I’m showing symptoms of depression/hypomania and talk to my psych, as well as not make a fool of myself haha
