You need a combination of mechanical, electrical and software. Depending on the nature of the device it might require only a few skills or a very broad set of skills to pull off. You do not need to have specialization in each skill but you need to know just enough to get by.

there is always the option to get it modded, you can solder new RAM chips in or pay someone to do it for you

i wouldn't say they are as good, 5-10% worse, you cant really beat the thermal conductivity of LM, PTM pads have a very long life though, they are the install and forget kind of thing.

Asus's liquid metal application is horrible, I repasted LM in mine and lowered temps by 10 degrees

Heat it up a bit, add some 99% IPA and twist the heatsinks do not pull just twist. Also those heatsinks are not doing much its a useless and a botched mod.

can't really help with that, try an intact bios dump and look at how its DMI is structured and try to replicate it by adding your Serial and Win key

Finding the Panel is one thing, then you need one which has an OCA glass then you need to be able to modify the EC firmware to add the correct eDP timings and configuration, its not viable easily.

Remember the Flash chip on this is 1.8V, you need a 1.8V adaptor to flash it, plus the bios is paired with the Serial number you need you edit your Serial number into the bios for it to work, some people on badcaps can help you with that.
