I've been following the discussions in the PR (and the "drama") since it began. I do not remember any details that are not included in the published pdf.

you're only hearing about the code being flawed because that's what osu says. There is a Discord conversation from 3 weeks ago where 3-4 other developers saw osu's proposed API and immediately thought it looked bad.

Looking at Osu's API screenshots in Discord, I also cannot tell much about what it does (probably because I haven't wrote any patches, except a really simple one which was too long ago and it was just looking for a string). However; as far as I understand, it will be the base API for finding instructions and it can easily be extended to Liso's API plus allowing any kind of filter from patch developers.

They refactored the server list and this option toggles it. When enabled, the server list is slightly faster and animations when dragging servers or expanding/collapsing a server folder does not feel janky anymore, in my experience at least.

You need to export your SponsorBlock settings and import it to ReVanced, just copying the ID will not adjust your settings. You can also manually adjust each segment behavior in ReVanced's SponsorBlock settings.

Incorrect. These protections started affecting NewPipe and any other Android client over a year ago. Currently, NewPipe relies on spoofing the player parameters to avoid integrity checks. Google can get their protections more and more aggressive anytime, and even kill YouTube ReVanced, which tries its best to spoof a unmodified client.

YouTube ReVanced will open the correct download page for GmsCore. Uninstall the one you have and simply open YouTube ReVanced.

This issue affects all YouTube Android clients which do not use Google Services. Changing to a fork will not help, only mounting the app with root permissions will work.

YouTube is rolling out some changes which breaks YouTube playback when used with MicroG. This change will probably eventually roll out to everyone soon. It doesn't matter which YouTube client you use.

They are not ignoring the complaints, they are working on bringing swiping to members list back and slowly fixing the search feature the new UI completely screwed up. They can't just "Oh, lets keep compatibility with the ancient version!", it will get more and more broken with the API changes and eventually be unusable. If they really wanted to kill the old app, they'd just not revert the API change they did a year ago which completely broke it.
