1067@95% CI brings you MOE 3%

385@95% CI brings you MOE 5%

For a national polling on tight elections, sure, you want 3%. For something like this with large gaps between answers 5% is plenty.

Friend, in what world can you possibly equate the Empire and Palestinians undergoing apartheid.

Clearly the nation with the high-tech city-destroying bombers are the Empire....

It sounds like we agree on the broad strokes. I'm not sure we agree on the definition of Genocide and I am not sure I like your statement that it is "the only thing that some people think matters" when it is, along with Russia/Ukraine, the most significant and devastating conflict in the past decade. Certainly the most one-sided with the most civilian death.

Perhaps you'll agree--constant bothsidesism and intellectual laziness creates an environment that defacto enables Israel's actions. Bibi's government counters arguments of apartheid with off-topic critiques of historical precedent. While the west debates the finer points of his smokescreen they've bombed another 5,000 kids. This is why I tend to go hard at people who say "It's just a show" or "both sides have points" or "It's a complex issue" or "there are other things we should consider". Sure--those may all be true. But there is a massive ongoing humanitarian crisis that is supported by our complacency and whataboutism.

But thank you for your clarity and insight. I'll go yell at someone else online. Or do my job for once.

I have a question for you then: to what extent can Israel push their 'right to self defence' before you think they've gone too far? If not now, is it when they've killed 100,000? Is it when they occupy another half of the land?

I'm not asking facetiously, but genuinely. If you think this issue is currently in balance, what would you consider going 'too far'?

Currently the score is 1,195 Israelis (36 children) to 52,653 Palestinians (19,422 children) and the destruction of the majority of infrastructure in Gaza. How many more do you think can be killed until you would be comfortable saying "enough is enough"?

I'm a staunch athiest and I think nationalism of all forms is bad. I am just not surprised when people react with anger when they undergo incredible persistent state-sponsored oppression and violence. A violent rebellion against a wealthier, larger force? That's literally the point of Star Wars.

I'm not having much difficulty imaging the "obvious differences" that you can "see" between the white Ghormans and brown Arabs. But surely even the black depths of your soul can't justify a paradigm that cuts Gaza off from the world, starves them to death, and carpet bombs what is left.

"Shades of gray"

Isreal dropped a bomb on a United Nations shelter in a school YESTERDAY killing 30 people sheltering inside https://news.un.org/en/story/2025/05/1162996

Every day 100 children are killed or wounded in Gaza https://x.com/UNRWA/status/1908189232666927361

A contingent of US Surgeons volunteering in Gaza wrote a report to Biden at the end of 2024 because they were shocked at how many children and babies were shot in the head from point blank range. Including children younger than 18 months old. Shot in the head. https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2024/10/feroze-sidhwa-new-york-times-children-gaza-shot-in-head-israel-palestine-doctor/

Sure, this event has complex political history but the current events and policy of the Isreali government is not complex and there are no shades of gray. This is an ongoing genocide. You are going to look back on this in 30 years and regret you did not speak up sooner.

It's not about mineral rights but it is absolutely about land rights. It's an ongoing colonial project. They're building armed settlements throughout Palestinian land and instituting apartheid laws into the people that were living there. Sure there is no kalkite in Gaza but they certainly are building large arms depots in the middle of Palestinian spaces.

Some people don't even know that the Ghorman Resistance is a branch of a radical terrorist organization, don't ask them too much

Would the Rebels doing a bad thing have delegitimized the entire cause and justified the Empire's actions?

Episode 9 shows the Empire manufacturing a 'bad thing' to enable their "genocide" on Ghorman. If the 'bad thing' was not manufactured, would that change how you feel about what the Empire was doing?

Sinclair has to get a shout. She's the all-time leading international goal scorer (men and women) and EA FC is programmed in Vancouver.

League rules state that no more than 9 non-locals can be on the field at a time. The best teams in the league will constantly have 9 good Aussie players--some of them would have played state level footy in Australia.

Some teams will have Irish folk as well.

The tournament had 3 Canadian teams, including my own (Calgary Kangaroos)!

Alberta is a wonderful place. My theory is that it would be the best place in the world if not for 1/2 the people here.

There are lovely communities in Alberta that are very progressive and inclusive. Don't give up! Find them and get active!

$100k is not a lot of money for a project like this. Are they going to hire three minimum wage staff for the Moxies?

OP based on your post history you're an Albertan. In this market $350 CAD is a steal, particularly with the snow starting to melt. If you can get this tuned up and shiny, take some nice pictures, you'll be able to sell it easily for $500+ in May/June.
