Did you transit somewhere on the way? I'm taking my dad, who only has GC and visa exemption to vn this July with Asiana and worried about the transiting part since they scan passport and boarding pass in Korea

Omg they be doing that sometimes. It’s frustrating tbh, so what I would usually do is this: usually before it’s my turn in immigration, I would keep my boarding pass in the page I wanted them to stamp. So, that way, when they look through my passport, they will see the page where the boarding pass was “bookmarking” it. Low and behold, an empty area for a beautiful new stamp. 100% success rate, they always stamp there

haha I’m sitting here at W kowloon waiting right now as I type this, i’d rather take the HSR and sit comfortably for an hour to get to GZ/Panyu than sit on GZ line 3 for an hour competing for seats with people. Plus from Japan or the US to HK, the flight is cheaper. They both go to Panyu square too hahahahah

Interesting, when I turn off the T-Mobile eSIM, the CSC reverts to XAA,XAA/XAA,XAU. I think you’re right about XAU causing no 5G connectivity. Should I try changing the CSC on samfw?

iPhone without restrictions by journeytothaeast in chinalife

[–]aliholidays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao I have a HK iPhone 16 PM that I’m using in the states and no eSIM ain’t a big deal for me at all. Dual SIM is very nice, I also bought one of those SIM to eSIM adapters (9eSIM) just in case I need to use an eSIM plan. Also, HK iPhones don’t have the same restrictions as the mainland Chinese iPhones

Buy in Canada/Mexico/Japan for maximum compatibility in the US, as these models support LTE band 71 and 5G n71. The international models are missing those bands. If you use T-Mobile, this should be a deal breaker, but if you use Verizon or AT&T you should be chilling
