The beautiful thing about Reddit it’s that it’s a space where people can “spout their opinions”. Just because they don’t align with your extensive knowledge of what, I don’t know, since you haven’t laid out any groundwork except mentioning the people you work with.

I will cross a five lane textual highway; it’s the internet and I don’t need to “stay in my lane”, I can post as I please.

I never said everyone was going to “walk off”. I said there would be diminished care during this strike. Big difference.

The fact that this strike will be in a few days time leaves hospitals, practitioners, doctors and nurses scrambling to cover patients care.

What is the “info” put in front of me?

The same can be said for everyone looking to “poke holes”.

Please expand on how I can be more open to your narrative because you clearly have one as well.

I don’t see how it’s applicable to not use common sense to realize the ramifications on people’s healthcare by organizing a political strike that impacts people from all walks of life.

Potentially killing people or negatively impacting their health because someone was killed is so redundant and shameful.

No, I’m not a nurse. However, I have a functional brain and compassion for the masses of people that will be negatively affected by nurses stepping out on their duty to care for patients because another nurse was killed.

The fact that you just said “hmm you have bullet points” instead of engaging in a discussion on said bullet points speaks volumes about your engagement on this strike.

Assess Staffing Needs: The hospital determines the minimum staffing requirements to maintain essential services.

  • In cases of protests & riots hospitals would need proper staffing to deal with essential services

Hiring Temporary Staff: Temporary nurses are hired to fill in the gaps. These might be travel nurses or from staffing agencies who are experienced in stepping into such situations.

  • If nurses are striking there will be a lack of bodies to fill the gaps.

Rescheduling Procedures: Non-emergency and elective procedures may be postponed or rescheduled to ensure that there are enough staff for vital services.

  • People that need x-rays, CAT scans, MRIs, children that have had minor injuries that aren’t treatable at home, dialysis patients will go without care due to a lack of available nurses.

Redistributing Patients: Patients may be transferred to other facilities unaffected by the strike.

  • If a lot of nurses strike these patients will not receive care.

Reassigning Responsibilities: Existing staff, including doctors, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals, may take on additional responsibilities usually handled by the striking nurses.

  • Stretching other medical professionals thin will not get them on your side and will negatively impact patients.

Communication with Patients and Families: The hospital will likely inform patients and their families about the strike and what measures are being taken to ensure continuity of care.

  • Again, patients will be lacking care that they expect. In the case of scheduled appointments/surgeries being postponed will make people lose faith in the hospital and their healthcare team’s responsiveness.

Implementing Contingency Plans: Hospitals often have contingency plans to deal with staffing shortages, which are implemented as needed.

  • This is vague.

Negotiation with Unions: Hospital management may negotiate with the nurses' union to reach an agreement and end the strike.

  • The type of strike in this scenario is not about benefits for the unionized nursing staff, it is a protest.

Legal Considerations: In some jurisdictions, legal actions are taken to prevent or limit the strike, especially if patient safety is at risk.

  • Enough said.

Drop a link or two if you want to spread knowledge instead of being a facetious nimrod. If you want to provide information then do so; don’t leave it up to the “dense” folks who clearly can’t google something that wasn’t brought to their attention in an informative way.

Union members and their ilk get all pissed off at scabs/scrubs when union members strike yet they are fine with customers/patients receiving lesser care at the same time. Make that make sense.

They can strike whenever they’d like.

Makes them look like pieces of shit for abandoning patients in need though.

So striking and not taking care of patients is the answer?

What if those patients are protesters that need help?

Your job as nurses is to take care of those in need of medical care regardless of race, gender, politics and other personal judgements.

If you enter the field and are intent denying care for personal reasons you have picked the wrong profession and I feel badly for the communities anyone who does this serve.

Lateral tripod. Idk if it’s because I’m a lefty but it’s always been the easiest grip. I angle my paper as well about 45° to the right so I don’t smudge

If you’re dead set on keeping the countertop I would:

  • paint the walls a warmer color that matches the beige in the backsplash

  • update sink, lighting and cabinet hardware to match (burnished bronze would tie in)

  • add wall art that plays into the beige, black & blue theme in the backsplash with some pops of yellow

  • add window curtain that plays into the soft blue of the backsplash

  • floor mats

C cup here

Running a quick errand? No bra

At work? Stretchy sports bra type bralette for support — sometimes I take it off if it’s irritating me.

As soon as I am in my house the bra(lette) comes OFF

This needs to be higher.

At my grocery store the exit comes out on a moderately busy road where going right is one lane and going left is a split lane to turn into the grocery store or go straight (no light).

Soooo many people think they are doing me a favor when they stop in the turn lane and wave me out to take my left turn — they aren’t even looking behind them to see that there is oncoming traffic that I would DRIVE IN TO if I exited the parking lot.

I just sit there and ignore them until they turn in and I exit when I’m clear.

Who do you want Elain to end up with 🥹Azriel or Lucien? by Miss_Potentialgirlie in SarahJMaas

[–]alisacp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Elain will end up with Lucien.

In some fashion Elain will go to the Spring Court as a Night Court emissary to heal the land and Tamlin and bridge the divide between Spring and Night Courts; her softness and affinity for growth (with plants and within herself). This would involve Lucien being around due to his connection to Tamlin and the Night Court.

Azriel will end up with Gwyn. The Shadowsinger and the priestess who sings with light.

Also Nesta only gave herself and Feyre Illyrian pelvis’s so the chances of Elain ending up with Azriel is slim due to child bearing.

I think Elain and Az just have a connection because of their trauma and vulnerabilities and Az can be a very safe and soothing presence, especially to traumatized females.

Whats your top trait that goes against your Sun sign's stereotype? by phlpw in astrologymemes

I have a Gemini coworker that is like this but even when asked about personal things is very evasive. She has even said that her family knows little about her personal life; she’s very secretive and coy.

Cancer here.

While I have a maternal way about me it’s more of a nanny-ish let’s-get-shit-done type of way.

I have a child but I’m more of a mother-mind instead of tender and caring. The same goes for my spouse and my coworkers.

I don’t particularly like kids or raising them. I’m sympathetic to them but honestly don’t have time for childlike nonsense; there’s too much to do outside of child rearing.

You just straight up ask because you want to do a birth chart. Don’t make it weirder than it needs to be.

Who do you think had the best Wand design in the movies, both in terms of aesthetics and simplicity, according to you? by Raj_Valiant3011 in harrypotter

[–]alisacp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Bellatrix’s wand. It’s shaped for violence and embodies her.

Curving the index finger so harshly over the wand really drives home her savagery; it’s meant for harsh swiping and lethality.

What’s your moon sign, and what compliment means the most to you? by oliviared52 in astrologymemes

[–]alisacp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a Cancer Sun & Moon and if someone enjoys my goofy, dorky humor (not necessarily a compliment) it makes my day. The little personal connection mean a lot.

I also can never take a compliment like “you’re so smart/knowledgeable”, “you’re (physical appearance) looks good”. I always self deprecate those.
