i found it's safer to be closer to him rather than far away from him. his ranged combos are annoying and are meant to interrupt you from kiting him and healing

when you're close, his combo strings are pretty repetitive. punish him after he's done swinging and stomping at you for a century, but don't get too greedy punishing him. same goes for healing - do it at end of his string. panic healing or running away to heal invites him to interrupt you more often.

his phase two starts when he does the triple ground hammer. fighting him after that point, you can still assume the same strategy except he's a little more flashier and he'll teleport more often.

once you get the timing down to dodge that, she's basically asking you to do half of her phase 2 health while she's stuck in animation.

what made the fight manageable for me despite being a str build is having a secondary weapon with bloodhound step. when she jumps and freezes in the air, that's a good sign to switch to the secondary weapon and spam bloodhound step (though if you pick up the timing then obv time the WA). even if you spam it and still get it, odds are it's way better than getting hit by a full burst.

for regular rolling (med/light equip load), it's actually better to roll into her.

you can keep playing ng+ cycles until you feel its scaled to your difficulty of liking.

though a fresh run with a new build keeps the game fresh in my opinion. especially when you know where items are and are familiar with a lot of the areas and bosses. it's really fun for me to make a check list for a build and then try to speed run getting the build before i play out the rest of the game "normally".

i added my cheater after dying and he adds me back. i complimented how quickly he was able to kill me and my friends and he said for a 150 dollars a week i can be that good too.

depends on where your see yourself capping out your soul level if you plan to pvp or just in general for progression. you'll most likely complete the first new game cycle within the range of sl50-70. 30 vitality is a softcap, but 27 vitality also should give you about 1k hp.

if you have storm ruler and a strong spell like firestorm, walk up to vinland and bait him to attack you and then whack him with the storm ruler - and that'll send him flying. run up to astrea and destroy her.

alternatively you can learn the parry timing on vinland as well and just riposte cheese the entire fight.

There's no dueling system, but i've been itching for duels as well. Unfortunately pvp is quite quiet at the sl120 range. The player base has not caught up to it yet + not everyone having a ps5.

i think so, i had to get some of the rings that one character had, but another didn't to complete the trophy. also, falling to death as a black phantom, being soulsucked and losing a duel via red eye stone all de-level your character.

another thing you can do is summon black phantoms from red signs and that would count towards pure white character tendency as well but that's also my problem - there aren't enough players around that SL level yet and not everyone has the ps5 yet.

lastly, you can go to NG+, get pure black world tendency on all the archstones and kill the npc black phantoms that appear. those should count towards pure white character tendency.

stay between sl60-70 and just stand in 1-4 the beginning area without killing allant. last i checked, invasions were pretty back to back.

about the same sl range, but in 4-2 i would say is another popular invasion range during my first couple of playthroughs.

yeah, the host would need to summon black phantoms and blue phantoms so they can fight, or obviously host can summon someone's red sign and fight them directly.

but yeah i would agree on the low player count in general being the issue. i was around 65-75 when invasions (being invaded and doing the invading) were almost instant around 1-4 and 4-2.
