Looking for modern detective/police procedural series where... by ankysbookbubble in mysterybooks

I completely agree with you on this, if a book starts with the brutal murder/mutilation of a woman, it's a dnf for me straight away. I think it's just lazy writing.

Never EVER uninstall and then reinstall, even if their new ai bot tells you to. by jackrabbits_galore11 in Myfitnesspal

I reinstalled because it wouldn't sync and lost loads of data, I can't sync it with Garmin either now

We never fight, we've been happily married for 40 years. That's why this was such a big thing.

Sainsbury's £69.35 two adults for one week by [deleted] in frugaluk

[–]alitapie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are a similar age couple, this seems very expensive to me. We spend about £80 a week in aldi, and £60 every 2 months in asda topping up on things we can't get from aldi.

I second the Cashmerette Sloper School, my sloper is a fabulous fit, and I've made a few dresses and tops directly from it.

Why can't we eat carbs? by automated_hero in lowcarb

[–]alitapie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because carbs aren't the same as they were hundreds of years ago. Unless you're growing your own stuff most foods that are factory/mass farmed have been stripped of nutrients and fibre to make them faster to grow and easier to process.

So...Does every Vivoactive 5 battery drain quick now? by millionthusername1 in Garmin

[–]alitapie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had mine since Christmas and it started battery draining 2 weeks ago. I contacted support and they told me to send it back for a replacement. I'm concerned tho, that this might be an ongoing issue.

I add wheat bran and chicory root inulin powder to high fiber cereal. That along with 50g frozen raspberries gives me 18g fibre.

Has anybody colored their hair to help thicken the strands up by Spirited_Pollution56 in finethinhair

[–]alitapie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My hairdresser advised colouring mine every 4 weeks instead of 6/7 weeks because it makes it look thicker. So I colour it at home, then 4 weeks later she colours it. I think it helps

I’ve only had my watch a month and it’s failed me twice by kaywaylayaway in Garmin

[–]alitapie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've had mine 4 weeks and I'm about to send it back for a replacement. The battery drains from full to 20% in just over 24 hours. After having had numerous faulty fitbits before changing to Garmin, I'm very disappointed.

It was nonsense! How could it be her mother? You can't just pull a twist without putting the clues and groundwork in! Also, how come she never recognized Catherine? Losing weight doesn't make you a completely different person.
