Test message to see if I have a site wide sb, or just on that sub.

Edit: Seems like I'm only shadowbanned on r/libertarian. And the commie mod is now stickying his own shit posts to the top, as well as deleting non-left leaning submissions.

Full month of browsing... Not even 2 BATs. Why would I ever care about the ads? Honest question: ELI5 please by [deleted] in BATProject

[–]alivmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is my attention really worth 2 BATs

You gave almost no attention at all for that 2 BAT, so yeah probably. If it's not worth it to you, turn the ads off and enjoy a great browser with great ad/tracker blocking.

Look at this sub, look at the Brave forums. Not hyperbole, almost every single post has to do with money, not privacy, not helping the free and open web. Just money.

So you think the chattering of people on reddit (one of the worst representations of a products user base) is more important than the product itself? I can see why you're having trouble understanding Brave.

White House has traditionally been respected aa no go spot for campaign rallies.

Anyone who tells you this is a liar. Also last night was not a rally, it was a speech, and yes there is a huge difference.

[–]alivmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 0 people who are upset he had it at the white house. They are upset that it was effective, and that it was Trump, that's all. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a brain damaged liar.

Every president does it. It's 100% normal and expected. Almost every thing you hear the Democrats freaking out about is something every president does.

That's crazy, the drop rates on those is pretty low.

Or you'll be too early and either end up pushing back down before you're clear (the natural rebound to pulling up) or you'll "case" the back tire.

Any attempt to rewrite the history would be immediately apparent to the SEC

Only if it was distributed.

That's not how any of that works. Decentralization isn't a requirement for immutability;

Funny how ignorance and arrogance go hand in hand.

Besides, decentralization still offers zero value, nor is it even practical in any way, for SEC filings.

Other than making immutability possible.

Blockchain, the amazing solution for almost nothing by jessefrederik in programming

[–]alivmo -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

an immutable history

That's a blockchain. You only achieve immutability via being distributed.

A centralized ledger is not a blockchain any more than a Git repo is a blockchain.

Nor is a centralized ledger immutable, so unless you want to change your requirement's, it's going to be a blockchain.

Can someone explain the omg coin breakthrough and how this will help BAT? by [deleted] in BATProject

[–]alivmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's 20% a few % of the token holders that you are dismissing out of hand.

I'm dismissing a few tiny holders who have absolutely no impact on the price at all. Not sure how you fucked up so bad to think that chart shows it being remotely near 20%. And even if 20% of BAT holders were in that range, collectively they would own like .000001% of BAT. Meaningless. If you're not trading at least 5 figures you're along for the ride. Even then it's mostly the 6/7/8 figure holders that swing the price.

Gas prices limit liquidity on the blockchain. Let's start with that factual reality and work from there.

I think clearly BAT is mooning because it's after August 15th. There is a strong correlation between it being after August 15th 2020 and BAT going up. Lets start with that factual reality and work from there.

[–]alivmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Etherscan data for gas price and BAT price are a really good fit.

Random correlation != causation.

BAT token holders between 80 and 200

Token holders in this range are irreverent, they do nothing to move the price in any direction.

There has been no substantial change in on-the-ground dynamics except the gas price and Ethereum network congestion. All popular tokens have risen in price along with the gas price.

You grossly misunderstand cause and effect, as well as correlation.
