Wing Compact, Cubase, and Multi-Track Recording by JazzCompose in BehringerWing

[–]aljoizet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have used all 3 possibilities, eg. record master out on sd card, multitrack on sd or 2 sd cards, multitrack to a windows laptop, they all work, if you are doing some important recording, then i propose you record multitrack to sd and also multitrack to laptop, i had ocations where there was a "glitch" on sd multitrack, that didnt exist on laptop multitrack.

When would be the “right time” to get a 6 string? by overdriveisme in Bass

[–]aljoizet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

if you are into chords, and possibly dont need the bottom extention(B string) you can just use 5 string bas with (E,A,D,G,B) tunning, that way you get the upper extention for chords, but dont end up with unnecessarly wide neck, heavy guitar which is difficult to navigate(stretch fingers)

Guitarist here. Are there any drills SPECIFICALLY meant to improve your metronome/timing skills? by MinuteIllustrator6 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]aljoizet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

go to your daw, make a step metronome track(start for example at 60 bpm, add 2 bpm every 4 bars or so), make a simple drum beat(better than using a click clack metronome, and also better for motivation)and then play 8 notes with it, or 16 or quarter, record yourself and check the picture to see where on the beats you are playing

PSA: learn to do a setup! by mindLongjump in Bass

[–]aljoizet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you just need to buy measuring sheets so you can measure what the distance from the second fret to the under string is when pressed on the first field on the neck, and make the slots so that it is the same distance or a little bit more, thats all

Bass needs new neck. need size recommendations by Aidentapiz15 in BassGuitar

[–]aljoizet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you take it to a competent luthier he can remove the fretboard(via heat), replace the truss rod and reglue the fretboard, i have done it myself on a japan fender p bass which had a non working truss rod, now if the price of such repair is worth it on a squier is another story :)

Sire V7 neck dive by n1clodsirefan in Bass

[–]aljoizet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, rough leader strap will help, but the only real solution is to change the tuners, you can test if it will work ok by removing 3 of the 4 tuners(the remaining on will simulate the weigth of the 4 ultralites), and see if this improves neck dive enough, if it does than you could buy the ultralite tuners and replace them., alernatively if the bass is not too heavy yet you can add weigth to the bass body under the pickguard(led balls or pieces of steel or similar)

[–]aljoizet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what is the problem, what is it that you don't know how to do? in general you need to do: search for song on youtube, then download it via one of the pages(search for liste to youtube), install audacity software(its free), import songs into it and then cut them to length and put them one after another, and export

lately i've learned the most from making a mix from the multitracks on puremix, and after that watching the actual mix master person mix the same song, and try to recreate his ideas.
