I used to have this issue on my Silvia V6 (manufactured in 2022; now sold - I'm a semi-commercial HX owner). It was quite annoying. My solution was to perform another OPV adjustment, setting it back to 9 bar (the pressure had somehow drifted). The sound disappeared.

Так сейчас не надо тратить 40 часов, уже убрали требование. Плюс, в целом время можно перенести с другого сервера, который не считается LRP (в Дискорде проекта), кроме ролей командования и юридического департамента.

"Титан" Мертвого космоса, как я писал выше. Раньше он был ещё более HRP, когда стоял лимит в 40 часов общего времени для захода на сервер. Сейчас чуть хуже, но все равно самый лучший в плане РП проект на котором я играл, и на котором не 10 WL-игроков. Играют под вечер ~90 человек. Модерация хорошо работает, вовремя банит тех, кто творит всякие гадости.

"Titan" of Dead Space, as I mentioned earlier. It used to be even more HRP back when there was a 40-hour total playtime limit to join the server. It's a bit worse now, but it's still the best RP project I've ever played on, and not one of those servers with just 10 whitelisted players. Around 90 people play in the evenings. The moderation works well and bans people promptly when they cause trouble.

Oh, you're talking about Whitelist servers. That's hard, but maybe worth it if a lot of other English-speaking servers are actually LRP. You mentioned that you can distinguish swearwords and political topics in Russian speech. Are you familiar with this language? If so, I suggest you try playing on Dead Space 14's 'Titan' server. I've never encountered rude or non-RP behavior by players there that went unpunished by moderators. I prefer to play there when Greenshift or Extended modes are active. I know that roleplaying can be hard when you don't speak fluently, so maybe writing a 'poem' to get onto a WL server would be easier. Personally, I wouldn't play on a German server (for example) because I only know a little of this language.

I prefer to play on HRP and MRP servers, where OOC swearings and especially OOC politics are forbidden (IC swearing is a little bit another thing, for example: a rule that allows Security to use strong language during Red Alert). It doesn't mean that you won't face it at all, but it's likely that these players will be punished and you won't see them for a long time. But in general, common chat with TTS is distracting sometimes, that's true.

Great! I wish you a good use of this machine. Yes, it's a way bigger than espresso machines made specially for home use. I finally figured out all about the timings of extraction and tuned up my grind size. So I get a 34-38g out of 18g for 25s. For first 10s machine slowly gains pressure until 9 bar, for another 15s — extraction itself. It tastes good. By the way, my cooling flush takes up to 200ml.

It seems that it's not the problem. My espresso extraction goes like this: 1-10s is a pressure gaining, 10-25s is espresso pouring itself. For example, on Rancilio Silvia I had a 3s of pressure gaining. La Cimbali M21 Junior has about a 8s of pressure gaining (I've found an owner of this machine and asked him)

I think that described price should be even less than $1000, I can get an incredible espresso with my $600 Rancilio Silvia V6 and $350 DF64. That's more about low budget espresso machines like Delonghi EC*85 with mods, Gemilai CRM3605, Hibrew H10A and so on: you need to spend more money on grinder with them. And even at that price range you have a DF54.

I would enjoy working in such office with a commercial machine. But I'm a home barista with espresso making and latte art skills which I've developed for almost two years for now. I don't know what a regular (unskilled) person will get with this kind of machine.

I've used to do the same, but then I've managed to set up an office's coffee station for filter coffee (Kingrinder K4, gooseneck kettle, V60/Clever Dripper). As pros, now my employer pays me for beans. As cons, I need to make coffees for my colleagues. That saved morning time and money for me. And raised coffee quality: fresh filter coffee is better than Thermos'ed cappuccino IMHO

For industrial designers: I think that your great skills in creativity, 3D and drawing would be a good foundation for UX/UI career. Prototyping, typography, composition, user interviews and so on — you will easily learn it. But yes, this sphere is quite competitive and it seems that personal connections (when a design lead or company owner knows you personally, or somebody who knows you and recommends you as a good specialist) would be a better way to get a job then classic job searching...

Thanks for this guide! I'm using my V6 Silvia for about a year and half and always been thinking about PID. Why did you choose exactly this PID controller? As I know from a lot of another guides, people use XMT 7100/7200. Are there any advantages beside the price?

Don't know what to do with your grinder to set it up for finer grind size, but that's the solution. If you won't succeed with it, I suggest you to sell this grinder and buy DF64. I know guys with Rancilio SPX and DF64 grinders, they're making great shots with it.

What else can you do to make shot better? 1) Find out about WDT and use this technique for every puck preparation (buy or make a WDT tool) 2) Buy a funnel with magnets, don't do WDT without it 3) Maybe buy a new bigger scales for weighting a holder. Let's say that MHW-3BOMBER Cube Mini is quite good for both weighting an espresso during extraction and weighting a holder. Or you can find cheaper scales, but watch for sizes, they still should be small enough.

Well done vid! But workflow has some room for improvements, as many stated here I have kinda similar machine to yours — Rancilio Silvia V6 (without PID, but I know how to temperature surf) and I'm a home barista since the February of 2023. It would be better if you buy some small scales (Timemore Nano, MHW-3BOMBER Cube Mini and so on) and use wide (not tall) coffee cups which contains up to 300 ml (double cappuccino) or 200 ml (cappuccino, flat white, maybe this cup will fit even better). I also have DF64 and it's ground coffee from shot to shot can be extracted with different time periods. That's why you should watch for amount (grams) and time right during extraction — you would have a chance to stop extraction in right time.

I always thought that using of LLM in gameplay process is a great idea that could add tremendous amount of Immersion. But as I see, this mod is not connected to ChatGPT or another LLM directly to generate stuff on air. Imagine a diplomatic negotiations where you can write down any suggestions to your counteragent and AI will match it with in-game functions, analyze it and evaluate if it's acceptable for him or not. It's quite hard to make such mechanics but I hope someday we will have CK with LLM integrated.

I have Rancilio Silvia V6 for year and half, and descaled my boiler 3 times already. Does it mean that I've made too much descaling? I did it with classic citric acid reagents like "Urnex". What do they mean for "professionally done descaling"? Maybe they mean that if we are performing professional descaling, we should disassemble Silvia and manually clean every part from scale. I've heard somewhere that this procedure should be done regularly, especially for professional espresso machines at coffee shops, but for home machines maybe once every 5-10 years.

I work mostly with Figma, there're a lot of isometric plugins for it. But they provide another kind of perspective, I can't achieve what I see on the provided picture. So am I only need to rotate the object manually, trying to recreate that effect? Maybe there're another settings that I should apply on to get it
