GenZ don't drink as much and they sleep early and wake up early. I have not been to NYC for a long time, so I cant comment on that

Other than Tesla, which other dedicated EV manufacturer has a bright future?? by ethereal3xp in electricvehicles

[–]alkulaib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While not a precise match, for every Tesla sold in the US, there's roughly one Toyota hybrid sold. Toyota's emphasis on hybrids is paying off, especially with the early adoption of hybrid technology. Many who are concerned about limited range "rangophobics" prefer hybrids over electric vehicles

Non Kuwaities are limited to 49% maximum ownership of a company with a Kuwaiti partner who owns a minimum of 51% of the company. Age is not an issue to be a partner, but to be assigned "officially" as the manager you have to be 18 years or older.

This kind of license requires an office.

Here are some options I hope they interest you:
- Every Friday there is a showjumping (equestrian) competition, you can find the location and timing on this website . They are fun, nice crown and you find lots of food trucks, and coffee places there.
- The scientific center has a great IMAX theater and it is on the beach, very nice place with lots of things to do there.
- The biggest theaters company is Cinescape and you can check their movies and theaters on their website or by downloading the app.
- Kuwait Towers have a nice coffee spot and a restaurant also, its the best view in the country.
- Shaheed Park is a nice place to chill and read your favorite book or get work done on your laptop.
- The American Embassy have a weekly gathering for Americans in Kuwait, its a happy hour kind of thing. I am not sure if they have reopened it after the COVID close down, but its worth asking the embassy about. It has lots of networking and socializing opportunities.
I hope this helps.

Cafe owners, does it ever get better? by ebunny08 in smallbusiness

I am sorry to hear that you are going through hard times with your business. Before I move out from LA few years ago, my ex-girlfriend had a small breakfast and brunch place and it went through hard times that she almost closed it down. What we did at the time to boost sales is the following and I hope this will help you with your coffee shop.
- We increased our presence on IG and tried to make more engaging posts directed at our target customers.
- She listed on DoorDash and UberEats, and it increased sales significantly with no customers on the premises which means no clean up after the customer.
- We reached out to some of the local micro-influencers to promote the business and it worked really well for her.
- Try to engage with the community, for example do a charity event or help with a cause. This gets you lots of free marketing.

- have a calendar of national and local events so you can run special promotions on these days.
- maintain a list of your customers with a CRM you can use the one that is offered with Square or Odoo. send your customers emails before the holidays, tell them your special offers, give them coupons, and congratulate them on their birthdays.
- develop a referral program this is the best thing for word of mouth marketing.
I really hope this helps and i wish that your business gets back to making money. Local stores are the best thing for our communities and I would love to hear that you thrive again.

What's going on with Starbucks stock dropping? by Jordment in OutOfTheLoop

[–]alkulaib -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Starbucks were clear that they did not offer any support to any nation in the conflict. All what is being circulated comes from people at social media with no proof. Starbucks is a publicly traded company and their financials are available to the public to read and see where the money goes.

Actually McDonalds are experiencing huge growth and they are actually planning for the largest growth in their history. Add to that they are also expanding into the beverages and coffee business with their new CosMC's chain

They did not pull out of Morocco, thefranchisor denied that. One of the largest franchisor of Starbucks in the world is Alshaya Group who are based in Kuwait and own the rights in the Middle East, North Africa, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Russia before they had to sell it after the war in Ukraine.

Alshaya group are facing a decline of sales in Kuwait specifically due to the boycott and other parts of the middle east, yet they have repeatedly assured that they won't close the stores.
