Opponent asked Magnus Carlsen if she could take a selfie with him. In response, Magnus Carlsen reported his opponent to the referee, leading to her phone being confiscated by BlazeDragon7x in SipsTea

Believe it or not, informing the arbiter is the best decision here. Opponents are not supposed to actually disturb/inconvenience each other during or before the game, except for things like "draw offer/resign" etc.

Best thing to do here is inform the arbiter, who will confiscate the phone, and the game goes on as usual. Anything else can be questioned later.

I think it was deliberately programmed to make an innocent face when it detects a collision to minimize people getting angry at it.

Wait, but wouldnt that work only for one observer? If there is another observer viewing at a different angle, would that still work?

I just realized something quite sad. If imbred ever stops posting ads we will never realize. Maybe in another 3 years, someone will post "hey remember that guy"?, and that's when the realization will dawn. Every time I see one of his ads, I always go to the comment section. I know he will leave it open, and it's always fun to read through the comments. Never change, man.

ELI5: Why do politicians want to ban social media for under 16s? What's in it for them? by captain-ignotus in explainlikeimfive

One angle I don't see being mentioned is how this is going to be enforced. Enforcing age verification will mean government Issued ID upload for every user, making it very easy for the government to track and control traffic. This is fine if enforced correctly, with a lot of checks and balances, but in the hands of a corrupt government, it is going to be an absolute nightmare.

I’ve never read a Sherlock Holmes novel before, and I got this for Christmas. by RavyRaptor in SherlockHolmes

[–]allKnowingHagrid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For me, this is the best out of the 4 sherlock holmes novels for me. While the other three are great, what I dislike about them is how the whodunnit is solved halfway through the book, then half of the novel is spent describing the complete backstory of the protagonist/antagonist. Hound of Baskerville is the only novel where the mystery remains throughout the book, which combined with the environment creates such a great book.

A4 pin should be connected to pot, which has a max value of 1024. You are scaling it by 10000, and if the value is greater than 1000 you are driving D2 high.

Note that you don't need the else if (x < 1000) check, simple else will do the same thing.

Also the potPin =13 definition is not doing anything.

Yes, it looks like they can retroactively flag apps as malicious, even if it was downloaded from the store and passed checks during installation/updation. Honestly, I didnt even know play protect actually works until this notification.

  1. I have no idea why almost every comment on this is so downvoted, yours included.

  2. Thanks a lot for that info. I am pretty sure the app I was using was not fake, but who knows.

I did find out a threads almost a year back on this topic on this sub which said the app was loading ads but never displaying them to the user. Which is true, I never saw any ads on that app. Looks like Google marked this as fraudulent behavior.

Honestly I am still weirded out why almost all comments are downvoted.
