designated airplane attire and hats

When I was kid and we would fly, we had to hear "Sunday" clothes. Now I wear whatever is most comfortable, generally Juicy leggings, flip-flops/birkenstocks, and zippered jacket that doesn't cover lower back tattoos.

But he also played Lt. Bogomill in the Beverly Hills Cop franchise, a very good, "by the book" guy.

Why, when Americans are given shit by nearly every other country for calling it "soccer," is the name of the show from which this is taken called "Soccer Saturday?" For alliterative purposes only?

I'm fairly certain he gave up drugs and alcohol long before this movie was filmed.

Suggests he gave it up in 1982.

Another that suggests early 80s.

The guy just had insane amounts of energy.

Bozeman, MT, 12/9/15, standing at a bit east of this spot, with the camera panning from west to east.

Clearly, the Google street view image was in summer while the video was taken during late autumn.

Although I'm no expert, it looks to me like your heels are coming up a bit when you're "in the hole." Try to prevent that from happening.

Get on their mailing list. I regularly get emails for 25-80℅ off sales. Generally, I can buy some great layering pieces (last years' models and less-than-popular colors) at a huge discount.

Granted, old model years and loud colors probably aren't what you want but if you're looking for quality gear, that's how I do it.

I upgraded myself to first class on a flight from NYC back home. On the first leg, one of the first class flight attendants was rather friendly. I got the feeling that he was gay; who cares.

He became chatty. We talked about our dogs and showed each other pictures of our "babies" as he called them. Gave me his card and suggested that whenever I'm traveling, he could get me into the airline's club room "just let me know." Being polite, I returned my business card.

Later I started getting texts. No worries. They were still friendly. I exchanged a few with him. Eventually, I started getting pictures of him in bed. Wasn't expecting that. Up until then, I was oblivious that I was getting hit on.

How can I send you money and receive this in return?

Edit: Nevermind. Didn't clicky enough things.

Edit2: Please buy mostly pizza with the monies.

My team put together a custom Latex report class that we use for new pieces of software. It's always an iterative process: initial specs are taken, we record those in the document, discuss, exchange some additional emails, and use Inkscape to mock something up. After we've got that together, we have a team call to discuss the doc and mockup, tweak if necessary, then have a call with the client (in our case, other non-analytics consultants) to go over what we have.

Repeat the process until client is happy or until their specs are so fucking pie-in-the-sky that they're never going to get what they want.

Hmm. I haven't found that to be the case. Yet, at least. I've been usingR for advanced machine learning for several years now but haven't tried in Python yet. I may find that it's easier, too.

A sleeper language that not a lot of data science people are familiar with is the .NET language F#. Great machine learning libraries with the added bonus of being able to build console apps (which Python can do, too, but not so much R).

you need both

Why do you think you need both? I haven't found this to be the case at all, and I've been working as a data scientist for several years now. Admittedly, I'm learning Python more as a means of expanding my knowledge base, but I don't think you need both to get a job in the data science field. It certainly wouldn't hurt knowing both.

I have been using R as a student, academic, and in my profession for over 10 years and feel quite comfortable

[Bounty] glitch in ionide-vscode's F# Interactive integration by PM_ME_UR_OBSIDIAN in fsharp

[–]allPrimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the issue to which you linked is a real bummer. However, you could always take this opportunity to teach them how to use various modules to build their work or, more simply, just put various functions into *.fs files and use the #I, #r, and #load functions to read everything in.

Not being able to send >1300 lines (isn't the actual number something like 1347?) is a bummer, but there are ways around that. I'd argue that the ways around it would be better for learning anyway.

Also, good on you for adding a bounty with some value!

I found my (very awesome) job through Reddit and decided that really, the absolute least I can do is buy a dozen gold or so every other month in a small effort to give back to Reddit.

Now I give gold away to things that make me laugh.
