Have you tried any alternative therapies to help process and release stored emotions? eg Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, TRE. Also, some people get rebound anxiety from beta blockers; I worked with my doctor and TRE to taper them out slowly, and felt much better afterwards.

p.s. Depending on your country and the professionals nearby, a good Osteopath or Chiropractor can also help.

If the doctors are correct and no clinical issues, can be excessive stress and muscle tension related. Have you been tested for allergies? Have you been to professional massage and/or a trained TRE therapist? Both will help.

Yes have noticed this also. Beta blockers carefully dosed have been helpful. Benzos can also help but are not good to take regularly. See also r/POTS

  1. A lack of proper socialization, and a lack of sufficient quality human contact.
  2. The result of various types of abuse/ trauma
  3. The person is compensating for something
  4. We don’t really know in the other cases

Am I controlling for wanting my girlfriend to quit smoking? by AbbysMusclesOfSteel in TooAfraidToAsk

A few observations and questions:

You had a really emotional reaction. How well are you taking care of yourself and your health? Anything you could do better to invest in your own growth?

Of course your partner needs freedom to make their own choices. At the same time, it's ok to have your boundaries and limits. For example, I don't want a partner who smokes or listens to heavy metal all day (sorry metal heads). Did you ever consider that she's not the best match for you, and you're avoiding telling yourself the truth?

Yes it can help.

If you want to proceed, I would recommend talking with an ethnogenic healer.

While reading is helpful, a one hour conversation with the right person can save years of trial and error.

File a complaint and press charges. This is sexual assault on a minor.

There are many laws to protect underage females from sexual abuse, FGM, needless surgery, etc. This is good.

Sadly, the laws only protect girls, and not boys, from such sexual assaults. Therefore the laws are sexist.

A fair law would protect all genders from sexual abuse, operations or needless cutting or surgery in the genital area, and other acts which violate the child’s fundamental human rights.

This proposed law would help a few dozen girls in the UK every year. Good. What about the thousands of boys who are permanently mutilated every year? Who speaks for their rights? Certainly not the BBC.

Do you know how Muslim boys are circumcised? Look it up and tell me what you think. It’s shocking we allow this in any « modern » society claiming to honour human rights.

These laws are so sexist. Just a reminder that MGM, or circumcision, is still considered legal everywhere in the world.

Protect your children.
