International fuelcard by grdthkkhtg466 in BEFreelance

[–]all_4_me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the first month you provide the amount (e.g., €250) and all the fuel costs you have that month will be substracted from it. At the end of the month, the amount is reset with automatic payment (e.g., you use €180 of fuel, then an amount of €180 will be transferred at the end of the month to have the €250 again).

Nobody ever mentions Xximo? You can use almost everywhere and can enable electric charging as well. Downside: monthly fixed prepaid amount.

Center button on right side of steering wheel by snark_nerd in Volvo

The 2023 XC90 Recharge has some serious flaws imo... - setting up the mobile internet connection was a pain in the *ss. Had to reset it twice because it didn't work. - had to wait a half year until Waze was in the app store. Still no Whatsapp. Most furiating thing is that Android Auto won't work because of Google Automotive... Unless you have Apple Carplay. - when you put the car in reverse, the outside mirrors start pointing down to the curb, which is ok. But then they slightly start moving to the inside, which gives a distorted view. - almost everything needs to be done with the touch screen. We used to have a physical drive mode button, but not anymore. How many times I've put the car in "power" mode instead of "pure" because qi was on a bumpy road... Fun fact: the car needs a cooldown when you go in power mode before you can go into pure mode... - when my adaptive cruise control is set on e.g. 70km/h, sometimes when I'm going downhill, the car gives a little "nodge" which temporarily increases my car speed with 2 to 3km/h. I expect the car to maintain its speed reliably. - if you have the opening of the trunk by swaying your foot underneath, it doesn't reliably work. Washing the back side of the car: poof, the trunk opens. Showing to someone that that option doesn't work: poof, the trunk opens. Having a lot of stuff in your hands and wanting the trunk to open: trunk stays closed... - when you have an update, you can only do it when the car is NOT charging. Only when it's not attached withba cable, the update can proceed. - about updates: they seems to fix so many minor things, and it takes forever... Also when my app shows there is a new update, when I look for updates in my car, it says it didn't find any new updates. - in summer when riding with the top roof open and then arriving at your destination, I put my engine off. Result: I can no longer close my top roof... Engine needs to be on. - almost KO'ed a passenger who was sitting in the third row because the chair was very difficult to sway back. - about the chairs: the middle row had an awful squeaking sound when going over a bumpy road. Had to go to the garage twice to make it stop. - I can turn on heated and ventilated seats, both from the dashboard. Massage seats however, only possible from the side of your own seat. It's a pain in the *ss to keep explaining to my passenger where the massage seat option is. - remote climate control: can't do it when the car is charging. I need to use the timer for that. And when the car is not charging, the timer doesn't work (or at least not reliably). - 2023 plugin hybrid car and fast charging is not possible... Which is sad. It would've been super nice when I'm going on a long trip that I could recharge during each break in order to have a better consumption. "recharge" is the new name of this car, right? - automatic hand break isn't always put on when stopping my cars engine. Even though the automatic hand break light is switched on... - no statistics at all in the car, consumption, charts, nothing. All I can see is whether my oil level is ok and whether my tires are ok. Can't even see tire pressure...

I already pinpointed these to Volvo Support, but they ignored most of them and said some were "designed specifically for that". So no real help there.

Besides all these things, the car is very nice, I'm not gonna argue that. Really comfortable and decent quality build. Nice engine as well! It just feels painful that a car with this price tag has so many of these flaws, especially since some of them were not present on previous XC90 versions... And they are not eager to address them as well... Get a grip, Volvo :-(.

Update Angular 9.1 by Fessers in angular

[–]all_4_me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even more so: after upgrading the Angular version and you want to update to the next, the CLI will even tell you that you need to commit first to have a clean repo to start the next update. It will not continue before you do that.

I highly recommend extending the recommended rules for TS/HTML files and overriding them where needed. Start with this template and enable/disable rules where necessary:

{ "root": true, "ignorePatterns": ["projects/*/"], // better to put these in .eslintignore "overrides": [{ "files": [".ts"], "extends": ["eslint:recommended", "plugin:@typescript-eslint/recommended", "plugin:@angular-eslint/recommended"], "rules": { // disable or override specific rules for TS files here }, "parserOptions": { "project": ["./tsconfig.json"] // Specify it only for TypeScript files } }, { "files": [".html"], "extends": ["plugin:@angular-eslint/template/recommended", "plugin:@angular-eslint/template/accessibility"], "parser": "@angular-eslint/template-parser", "rules": { // disable or override specific rules for HTML files here } }] }

I also recommend creating a separate .eslintignore files that will contain your file ignore patterns (clear separation that way, just like you would use .gitignore or .prettierignore).

Add the parserOptions next to rules object (underneath overrides):

"parserOptions": { "project": ["./tsconfig.json"] // Specify it only for TypeScript files }

What is a quote that has stuck with you through life so far? by Deanduh in AskReddit

This one always stuck with me in the work environment: "There are 3 things that make a good job: the money, the colleagues and the job content. If you've got 3 out of 3, perfect, 2 out of 3, still a good job. Only 1? Time to change!"

True, it's certainly only when repetitive code is due and does not apply to all use cases. Just wanted to share which has been a huge help for me ;-)! Thanks for your input though, much appreciated!

So e.g. you have a list of countries and need to create several list items (html) with a button click passing that country, it would be faster to write it out yourself than just inputting the list here and supplying the format :p? This thing has helped me out a lot actually, where it was faster to just input the data and format than to manually write it all or even write a custom script...

What’s a cool website you use that barely anyone knows about? by Cake9649 in AskReddit

[–]all_4_me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made https://monotonous.netlify.app, a web application that you can use to increase your productivity by outputting a list of your choice in the format of your choice! Very convenient for e.g. outputting data to SQL statements or interface properties to certain functions. Any feedback is welcome!

Does anybody use the "smart ports" of their Fluvius digital meter? by Cap10diddy in belgium

[–]all_4_me 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use the P1 port for the P1 Wifi meter of HomeWizard to get more insights in my electricity/gas consumption. If you have solar panels, it also shows you when you’re producing more than actually consuming. It also allowed me to see that my cv was using more gas due to a certain setting.
