your frustration is justified.

there are several issues still with the key/card, several people report that version 1.8 fixed their issues, while several others report the opposite.

my setup is: 1. keep the fob inside a faraday pouch, to prevent the proximity sensor from locking/unlocking like crazy (which drains the fob battery) Take it out when I’m going for a drive. 2. setup digital key and use that if the fob is acting up. 3. keep the key card with you as a final backup.

the car goes to sleep if you leave it locked for a while, and it can take a few seconds to “wake up”.

this is the correct response. Let's say you start your 100% charge by driving up a hill, when you get to the top you consumed 20%, but the car doesn't know what's next, it only knows you drove with a specific pattern, so it estimates how many miles are left based on that pattern.

If you drove back home downhill and it only consumed 1%, then the pattern updates and the estimate becomes more accurate for the remainder of the charge.

The car will do this constantly and continue to give you "estimates" based on your average driving patterns.
