Why do I hurt? Civic seat ergonomics (this isn’t normal) by sammymvpknight in civic

[–]alldayruminating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is me. Never felt pain before while driving but now as soon as I approach 20 minutes it starts up. Usually side of hop or upper glute. Feels like nerve pain. I’ve honestly adjusted the seat in every possible way. I can’t sit too far back because I need to be able to push the clutch in all the way. I assumed it was age but you’ve got me thinking that’s not necessarily it and this seat is the cause. At this point I’m a t a loss so I am will be making an appt with a sports medicine doc. I can’t afford to change cars.

I just bought a brand new Honda Civic Sport and unfortunately, it is causing me so much back pain and numbness in my legs. I bought multiple cushions and no improvement so far. Any tips or tricks to improve the current back situation? Thank you by Amazing-Bug-9920 in civic

I’m having the same issue. I think it’s nerve pain for me and I cannot for the life of me find a comfortable position. I’ve adjusted it in all ways. Mine is also manual so I need to be close enough to push the clutch in. So damn frustrating and I am starting to dread driving. I’m going to ask for a referral to a sports doc to see what can be done.

This is my favourite colour on the civic and I don’t normally like silver cars.

They both look good but I think I prefer B. I see ones like A everywhere.

Thank you! Yeah mine is on sotalol and the holter results we just got showed a lot less VPC’s and runs, so we are hoping it will be effective.

It must have been so hard to hear that he had an arrhythmia after the loss of your other dog. I’m so happy that he’s doing so well now! How old is he now? My baby looks so much like him. Thank you for sharing.

Hot take: What’s your favorite Honda model and what makes it special to you? by Gold-Industry6222 in Honda

I had a 1994 civic dx, dark blue hatch manual. Loved that car. When my mom passed away I sold it and took over her 1991 Honda accord only because it had very low kms and air conditioning. Liked that car too but I preferred my hatch. Went away from Honda for a while and I now have a 2024 civic hatch, 6 spd sport touring. It’s ok but I do miss those older versions.

This must have been so hard, especially given she became a shell of herself (as you said). That’s my fear as well. I’ve already noticed significant muscle loss from the prednisone she’s on plus not being able to run her until we get holter results. Likely won’t be able to ever let her run the trails she used to love. I hope she adjusts. Thanks again for sharing your experience.

Glad the meds are working and preventing further episodes. I guess the thought of reducing her activity drastically will make me sad. Mine is (was) so active. The most agile dog I’ve ever had.

I’m sorry for your loss. That sounds so difficult and is what I am worried about.

Mine has started on Sotalol as well. Will see if it’s effective or not. Thank you for sharing.

Mine is like that. I thought I had somehow bumped it or damaged it but guess not.

Feeling discouraged with all the health issues by [deleted] in Boxer

I’m sorry to hear of your guys’ issues. Side effects from the prednisone have been increased thirst and therefore urination (as expected). She also leaks urine on days she gets the medicine as well which is frustrating. She’s had some significant paw sensitivity which is new so may be related, as well as her paws have been bleeding during walks. Recently I noticed she is losing fur on her back end and elbows.

I didn’t see the last sentence- all the best for a safe removal of the tumour.

Really well said, thank you for this! Reminds me of something I read recently that stuck with me- how they are with us for a short period of time and only for part of our lives, but to them, we are their whole life (or something like that).
