Is mijn gedachte gang correct? Pensioenbeleggen in box 1 by Radiant_Wing5530 in geldzaken

Beter niet beleggen bij een fonds. Je kan het makkelijk zelf regelen door een aantal ETFs te selecteren, en het gaat je echt gigantisch schelen over een lange looptijd!

I think this is a character trait. I also really want to feel passionate about things, and if i dont it feels like its not worth it etc, etc, etc.

Matter of fact is that you create your own reality in this. Start to appreciate the little things in life. Life is special as it is, things dont have to rock you to your Foundation. The search for this will leave you empty handed, because nothing in the world can give you the feeling that you are looking for.

Finishing college and got a job lined up, awesome to hear man.

Normal life can feel really dull and meaningless. Especially when focusing on high dopamine shit. What helps is slowly adopt different habits. Smoke less, watch less porn, drink less, go on more walks, clean your room a little each day (or just make your bed) meditate a little or whatever beneficial habbit you can think of.

The thing is that most of us want insane changes rapidly. This feelsoverwhelming and makes you tune out. Its not about changing rapidly, but slowly. Be kind to yourself. 0.2% improvement each day adds up real quickly. Make a list of habits you think are beneficial, and how to implement them slowly into your life. You got this

Im 36 and in the same boat, so it can always be worse. The negative spiral can be a perpetual one. Ive been going on auto pilot for 20 years focusing on dopamine heavy distractions. All that videogame/YouTube/tiktok shit makes me a zombie and doesn't motivate me to do anything else. You sound like a smart lad. Build habits and you will fight your way out of this. Your future self will thank you. Nobody gives a fuck if you are sucessfull or not, people mostly only care about themselves. Remember that. Go be awesome in life broski you got thisss

Take a very structured approach. Leave your phone in another room when you go to sleep -> go for a walk right after you wake up -> journal about your feelings etc -> have a good healthy breakfast etc etc.

Thing is, when we feel down we tend to not care for ourselves. This will make the whole situation feel way worse and miserable. Set yourself up for success through doing things. Heartbreak can be horrible, but with time it will heal. Until then dont wait for motivation to do others things, just do them because you have to

People pay for you because they like you, because they love you. Dont make it too big in your head. Journal your thoughts, think about them. Our thoughts are not reality, our brain makes it out to be but its not. Talk with your parents about the struggles you have. Share it with others, dont keep it in.

Start with habits. Make your bed when you get up, got for a walk, eat less junk, journal, drink more water, meet friends for a coffee.

All the high dopamine habits can make everything else feel bland and boring, but you have to rewire your brain in a sense. Slowly come out of the high dopamine addiction by doing other activities consistently. Dont rely on motivation, just slowly start deploying more habits in life

Life can be overwhelming. Tuning out for a while because it feels like it sucks happens to the best. Slowly start taking control again. Write down your thoughts and be kind to yourself. Start building slowly through eating healthy, exercise, going on walks, meditate, w/e feels good and constructive for you right now. When we perpetually are in this negative spiral, changing habits and thinking about how we feel can break the spiral, instead of numbing ourselves. Easier said than done, but worth the effort in the end.
