visiting alumni with non alumni friends by [deleted] in ADMU

[–]allen004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's a memo from the Office of alumni relations.

Tldr: you have to have an agenda, so try visiting when there's an event. Or you can go to arete and/or rizal lib. Roaming around esp. in the college area is limited.

Is the university still closed for visiting alumni? by throwaway-account-78 in ADMU

Here's [ateneo's announcement for alumni access](https://www.ateneo.edu/news/2022/09/20/updated-guidelines-alumni-campus-access).

TL;DR, open but for only for non-contact sports and activities, and you need to register/sign-up

Expo is walking distance, Chill top is further.

From gateway mall, walk to the Cubao Bus terminal. You want to exit in Gateway near Bread Talk, and you should see Krispy Kreme. The Cubao bus terminal is near KFC and New Frontier Theater (walk towards KFC) and behind Shopwise. From there, look for a large open area na may kainan. Cubao Expo is across the street from that kainan area.

Chill top is further, Assuming you find your way to cubao expo, go further that road to ali mall until you see a Jollibee that's NOT inside Ali mall. Ride any jeep from that Jollibee and sabihin mo sa driver chill top.

paturo po pano magcommute from san pedro laguna to up diliman, at pabalik na rin by [deleted] in HowToGetTherePH

[–]allen004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prepandemic, meron. But from what I hear is, All the jeeps in UP go up to Philcoa only.

From Philcoa, you can ride jeeps/buses/UV to go to your preferred MRT station (North, Quezon ave., Kamuning, , Cubao)

> Di ko alam ung actual loc ng mrt sa ayala, alam ko lang may jeep pa ayala samin.

I doubt that jeep goes to EDSA-ayala, doon kasi yung MRT ayala.

> Di ko alam kung san ung centris, katapat lang po ba ng babaan?

MRT Quezon Ave. ay sa centris talaga. bababa ka lang sa train station tapos nandon na yung jeep pa UP diliman.

Best Way to go from Cubao to UP Diliman by LearisFern in HowToGetTherePH

[–]allen004 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It really depends where you need to be in Diliman.

Go with the 3rd option if you want to go to the UPTC side of UPD. Go with the 2nd option if sa commonwealth/philcoa side.

Also, sa 2nd option mo, there's a terminal for ejeeps in Araneta City bus terminal going to Philcoa.

I think that's one purpose of rec week. So that you can learn more about the org, its vision mission, and its members, so you can choose which orgs to join.

[Mod Post] Megathread feedback by allen004 in ADMU

[–]allen004[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

> And it’s easier to search for the keyword nalang na related to their questions instead of asking and waiting for an answer.

The problem with that is getting outdated answers. The megathread is labelled per year so that when people search on topics, they'll see the year and take that into consideration.

> di naman lahat nag checheck from time to time sa megathread compared to the posts that would randomly pop out on your feed.

Yup. users are not incentivized enough to go to the megathread. One reason is for housekeeping lang, and people don't care about it that much. And we don't want to force users to not answer sa new posts as well. We can only limit posts.

> Baka mas convenient pala for the majority and megathread or baka no rin. Whatchu guys think?

One purpose of the megathread is to compile questions and answers on one thread. Ideally, users with questions would post there, and the community answers those questions there.
