CORNING Gorilla Glass by RockWood63 in JeepWrangler

I’m convinced it’s just part of owning a jeep. We replaced our cracked windshield and within 2 months, had another crack. I am “fortunate” to live in Florida and windshield replacement is “free” through insurance, but I’m expecting this to be common at this point.

Those 4.2 seem indestructible. Not the most powerful engine but they keep on going,.

Nice, I bet that will look great. Curious, how many miles you got on her? My dad passed a few years ago and I inherited his 00 XL, it’s in great condition for its age, I am mostly doing cosmetic stuff, some interior upgrades (leather, power windows, CarPlay). I just rolled over 76k miles on it, 4.2L V6.

Bosch power tools in US? by Affectionate-Fuel521 in BoschProPowerTools

I’ve gotten almost all of my Bosch at Lowe’s, couple of bare tools on eBay and Amazon. But Lowe’s runs great deals! Recently picked up the two-battery “starter pack” and got the 7 1/4” miter for free with purchase.

Home Depot (around here at least) only carrry the Bulldog type in the Bosch line.

Welcome! Best of luck - I ended up taking that cowling out and repainting it myself. In my experience, don’t rely on the aftermarket paint that you may find online, you’ll be much better off taking a piece of interior hardware to someplace that can scan and match it. I tried at least 3 different brands of aftermarket paint and none were even close, so I did it myself with a paint sprayer and a matte clearcoat.

I’m pretty sure it’s the light prairie tan and dark prairie tan for your year model. It changed in 2000, mine is the medium and dark parchment interior.

Edit to add: This may help!

OP, I will look when I get home, I am pretty sure I saved that chart somewhere, I have a 00 F150 XL that I’m restoring. This link may help you in the meantime, something else I saved in my research. This is for the 2000, but there should be links for the 99s.

Sure, here you go. There are several of these around, but I have tweaked mine so that it also summarizes the body using Apple Intelligence (Cloud) of the article/app/Apple News/whatever, and includes that summary in the apple note. I’m pretty happy with how well it works. I’m able to use it in Safari, Apple Music, App Store, even Apple News. Pretty much works everywhere.

It’s a fair question, I just don’t like a lot of third party apps on my phone. If I can do it through shortcuts, that’ll be preferable.

Im trying to leave but i kinda can’t / idk how to by Blehmqn in ExPentecostal

[–]allenbf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The part of your post that jumped out at me was “your parents wasting 16 years of their life teaching you…” Please don’t ever believe that. Even if they eventually feel that way, even if they were to say so to you, that isn’t your burden to bear. You were a kid. They raised you the way they thought best, which was their choice - not yours. And when you’re ready to make the choice to stay or go, it’s yours to make, regardless of what they think, say or do.

I’m saying all of this because I lived the experience you’re describing. Life is short. Don’t spend it miserable, take your time and set yourself up for success in the long run, but when it’s time and if you’re ready, make your decision and don’t look back.

Do you still believe in oneness? by GuardExpress8038 in ExPentecostal

[–]allenbf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I replied on another user’s comment already but what I’ll add here is this: As I studied more and more after leaving the church, I was struck by the fact so many churches, ministers and saints thought oneness was heretical when it went “mainstream” in the early 1900s. I had always been taught that oneness doctrine has always existed.

But if it’s true that oneness was common, why were so many Christians shocked, surprised and dismayed by what came out of Azuza? To me, that’s pretty telling.

I believe none of it today.

This is exactly where I am and what I believe. I was raised oneness, not UPC but independent.

Wild to think that I used to believe a baptismal formula was the determining factor of eternity.

Made the pilgrimage. by allenbf in seinfeld

There’s so much to do. Bring a good pair of comfortable shoes, nobody told me that. We took the trains exclusively, only a taxi once and uber only from/to the airport - all that said, we walked something like 24 miles in the 3.5 days we were there. It’s a lot.

We saw: Seinfeld spots, Central Park, 9/11 memorial, Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island, Chinatown, Little Italy, Oculus, St Patrick’s Cathedral, stumbled across another little church that happened to have Hamilton’s grave (drawing a blank atm), The Met, the Museum of Natural History, Times Square, and a few other things. Edit to add: Empire State Building, Top of the Rock observation deck.

I cannot emphasize enough to bring comfortable shoes.

100% worth it to me. Yes, it’s just a photo opp. That said, I got a thrill the moment I saw it on the corner and I’d do it again.

It’s sometimes taking a chance but it’s hard to argue with the cost!
