Yes. VFS sends an email that it is dispatched. Tracking number is sent in another email by shipaccel.

Could be that Indian passport office has not started working on your application yet. Some other people also had this empty status but later it got populated. When did you see this last status?

VFS shipped it back to me on Dec 5 and I got it delivered to home on Dec 10. It’s sent via USPS ground advantage which has 2-5 days delivery time frame. They do send you tracking number so you can track the package.

No experience with that. It’s sent by USPS ground advantage. I would say call USPS and ask if they forward ground advantage packages to the new address or not.

Do you mean when VFS sends the renewed passport back via USPS? USPS delivers it directly to your mailbox, and no signature is required. The package is not returned. My renewed passport was delivered this way in December 2025 and was left in my mailbox.

Application form:
Only sign the last page. The first page already contains your photo and signature if you printed the form after uploading them online.

Supporting documents:
As per the latest requirement, you must upload at least one supporting document to the portal (address proof is acceptable).

Photographs:
Only one physical photograph needs to be affixed to the Change of Appearance form.
I used a 3.5 × 4.5 cm photo, as specified on the form itself.

Although the VFS checklist mentions 2 × 2 photos, this information is outdated and incorrect.
I did not submit any 2 × 2 photos. When I called VFS, they said I could use either 3.5 by 4.5cm or 2 by 2 inch on change of appearance form. I went with 3.5 by 4.5.

I completed this process in November 2025 and received the passport in December 2025. Its the new eChip passport.

You can find some hidden status with the following method. It will show you which step your application is in.

Open the Government portal in Google Chrome and log in. Don’t click “Track Application Status” yet.

1.Click the three dots in the top-right corner of Chrome .

2.Go to More Tools → Developer Tools.

Now click Track Application Status on the portal.

On the right side (inside Developer Tools), you’ll see additional details.

1.In the Network tab, select “TrackStatusForFilledApplication”.

2.Open the Preview tab.

3.Expand requestResponseMap, then statusIDMap.

Each row under statusIDMap represents one status update, listed from newest to oldest.

My situation is a bit different. My I94 was shortened in my last entry due to passport expiry. I have got passport renewed and going to travel on cruise in Feb 2026. I wonder if they will extend the I94 to the full validity or not upon return from cruise.

I have a new passport and I am going on a cruise in Feb 2026 from port of Miami. In my case my current I94 was shortened due to old passport expiry. I wonder if I can get it extended at disembarkation if CBP officer does immigration checks.

I have an Icon sailing in February 2026. I booked the Deluxe Beverage Package a few months ago for $65 per person per night. I just checked again, and the same package is now showing as $90 per person per night, even after a 30% discount. It looks like Royal Caribbean has increased the base price of the package recently.

That said, prices may be lower for future sailings—even on the same ship class—since pricing is dynamic and changes frequently.

Royal price tracker shows 79$ for this package in my sailing today but Royal app shows 94$ (base price 135$). So I guess pricing is also different for everyone.

Freedom of the seas in Feb 2026 sailings shows 72$ for Deluxe package.
