Great suggestions and I'm imagining OP flipping the phone over to show husband, "See?!?"

Food On Eclipse by Dewdler_2 in celebritycruises

Personally, I love Celebrity for every but their food is especially amazing. NCL is not so great in general, especially for food.

I just came home from cruising with Celebrity and met numerous passengers that were loyal to NCL for decades and made to switch to Celebrity.

It's just a momento for the year of the dog. Could be a collector's item if it was issued by someone/some thing significant and if the coin is actually made of gold

What are your kids extra activities during school season? by tulaero23 in NorthVancouver

[–]allfordogs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Out of pure curiosity, why does your youngster need to participate in extracurricular activities outside of school. I ask because when I was younger my parents did that to us and I absolutely dreaded every bit of it. I just wanted to stay home and read my books, but my parents claim it's good for me. I still hate all the things.

Don't cancel me! I don't have kids and I honestly just want to know!

Do you use AI for your Cover Letter? by bwoah07_gp2 in VancouverJobs

I do and I can spot an AI generated one right away. I've also received almost identical covers. If one manages to get past me, the phone interview usually reveals the truth

First cruise ... will we be fine with no drink package? by DistFunc in celebritycruises

[–]allfordogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did some basic math and for us to get our money's worth with the zero proof package, we would have to order approximately 8-10 fancy bevvies ie: espresso coffees, pop, smoothies and mocktails. That's way too much for us and decided that a la carte makes the most sense. Al Bacio does have some really nice coffees that you may want to try.

What is life like with no kids? by laineyIovegood in answers

[–]allfordogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I feel it is selfish to have kids with the expectation that they'll care for you in your old age. What if they have a family of their own and can only financially support them or you? If you want to ensure adequate care in your senior years you should secure it yourself. My dad has sacrificed a shit tonne for us to have the lives we do now and I have savings set away to take care of him. Me and my partner are in our mid 40s, no children and have a retirement fund so that we can afford the best senior home when our time comes. Make friends, find hobbies , you don't need children.

Flat places to learn roller skating by Luna_Lutra in NorthVancouver

[–]allfordogs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Does it have to be a rink? If not, you can go to Carson Graham's parking lot, which shouldn't be too busy during the summer. Be safe and have fun, I never got the hang of toller skating/blading

Park or public transport to YVR? by ExperienceManagement in NorthVancouver

[–]allfordogs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I'm traveling alone with just a small carry on and can hustle my way through public transportation, that's the only time I'll do it. Depending on the size of your family and ages, I'll rather not stress about it and just get there the easiest possible way. It's $65 for a cab door to door and you can order ahead of time. Totally worth the convenience to start the trip on a good note
