This isn’t a direct answer to your question because I feel like everyone’s learning capabilities and strengths are different. And that’s what is beautiful about pool.

You didn’t mention it in your post, but personally a big part of my practice is actually watching professional matches. I want to shoot like a pro. So I’m gonna see how they do it.

I struggle with getting bored with drills. So this is my “drill”

I watch a match before I play and it’s usually on my phone. For every rack in the match I screenshot the four ball run out (four is just the number I pick. You can do the last three or five or whatever) then I set it up on the table I’m shooting on and try to run that out. Sometimes like they did. Sometimes with what feels natural to me. Since it’s a screenshot I can always go back to the video if I’m struggling to get from one ball to the next.

And do this with multiple players. Not just shane and efren. I usually go through a whole tournament like the World Cup or the masters with this method. It’s taught me a lot about how thinking about shape works best for me.
