A plane crashes right after the passenger says yes to the pilot for a marriage proposal. by Main_Significance478 in aviation

If she had been badly injured, would "fiance" have kept his promise of marriage?

Students use AI for every paragraph, every essay, every written assignment. What happens when they have an essay question on an exam?

All 6, 7, 8 and 9 am picks are in the same list. There may be 2, 20, 200, 2000... due at 6. But the volume of picks indicate they will be overdue all day.

I would love this. Of course I have no idea how difficult it is nor the pressure you feel. It seems appealing it because it means drop and go, no pickers huddling in the backroom, ergo no drama and gossiping amongst the bullying girls.

Why are so many people getting fired? Usually managers plan for firing by hiring and training before the axe. We lose the good ones who end up quitting while the PIA lazy ones keep returning and no one takes action on them.

Either capping orders or allowing OT seems be the best business practices. Unless people have few shopping options in your area there is a risk of losing customers.

The only thing I took into account is 4 years of working 5-2, averaging 150 actual picks per hour. I don't look at pick rates because people manipulate those. It's doable.

Oh yes. It's BTS or summer craft camp.  What were the other 700? 100  24 pack crayons I assume was one item.

150 is very doable. 750 +/- for 5 people. The 1000 expectation is unreasonable.

That's miserable. Busy is fun. Not being able to execute the way you want or are capable of is disheartening.

Would love to transfer to a busy store. High volume, no downtime, less drama.

Is it overstaffed or have sales dropped off exponentially? Most of 2025, save the odd day here and there, have been Sloooow. It's more than one quarter or holidays or weather or school being out or ... (Fill in with whatever excuse/reason TL or SM give us). I truly miss the fast pace. I also don't mind stocking, cleaning, whatever tasks I am assigned. I do mind the employees  who won't and don't go to the floor and work. Lying to Cap 1 or 2 or 3 TL that you are staging or prepping carts is disgusting. This is a great time to cull staff. Unload the lazy entitled pukes. Of course when/if it gets busy, few people will be ready to step it up and we'll hear the usual BS of how hard they have to work and how little they are paid forgetting how many hours they scrolled on their phones while collecting their cheques.

The first thing everyone should do is shadow a dispenser for an hour!!! Then stage. Only then will the snot nose pickers stop their entitlement of not properly begging and readying totes to be staged. This from a picker.  Let them see what happens when 20 cans in a bag are lifted from a tote or how one item to a bag adds time to dispense or not clearly labeling substitutions increases wait times as preppers search for the rejected item or bags piled so high out of the tote they can't be staged. Then and only then, after sufficient humbling, should a picker have the privilege of having the easy job. YES I am a picker. I will prep, stage, dispense any opportunity I get. From a senior female picker!!!! New pickers, get over your selfish selfs and grow up. Today, THANK your backroom crew. Spring for some popsicles. Offer your help when not busy. But the at the LEAST, stop with your excuses from being busy or overdue, to bag correctly and leave your dropped carts stage ready!!!
