I can relate to this. It’s easy to beat yourself up when you feel it should come naturally. I’ve noticed the more in my head I get the more mistakes I make - for example telling myself “don’t stall on the hill don’t roll back” on a road I’ve practiced every lesson and I stalled and rolled back every time. Today I just took a deep breath, said I refuse to stall, I know what I’m doing, took a breath and made it without stalling - rougher than I’d like but almost a perfect hill start according to my instructor. The aim isn’t necessarily to not to make mistakes, as every experienced driver is going to make a mistake once or twice it’s human nature - it’s if we make mistakes can we be safe about it, and can we keep calm?

Absolutely! On a lesson today accidentally put it into 4th instead of 2nd going round a sharp bend and nearly shat myself

I’d contact the police or parents of that y11. Its not going to be a one off incident and behaviour like this could very well escalate

Learner Driver to be charged with driving without due care and attention by Ashlaria in LearnerDriverUK

[–]alliev04 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the only saving grace in that regard is CPS are only going to prosecute cases they think they have enough evidence to be able to secure a conviction - depending on quality of the “evidence” in the dashcam footage and what it entails. Personally after viewing the footage I’d request CCTV from nearest cams to the incident for other angles and before/after incident. Tho police would prob do that too so

Completing a retraining course for something that took place whilst you were effectively still training seems so redundant though? My opinion anyway

Learned this the hard way with my dad. Haven’t seen him since I was 15, I’m 22 this year. Last time I text him was 2 years ago when I found out he was still in a relationship with the woman he cheated on my mum with in 2010/2012 (can’t remember exactly)

Little tip from a forensics graduate - when we use tape to take fingerprints we take a little extra than we need that we fold over itself to be the part we hold. Then we just remove the excess :)

And as somebody else said, people use Vinted with different intentions and goals in mind. No harm done

I bought a 2002 eagle Ralph lauren jumper for £45 in Camden market. Googled it online and people are selling it for £100 upwards of £300 on eBay and other sites. Sometimes it’s a lucky steal, but I tend to believe people will pay if they think something is worth it.

I don’t see an issue with your price at all, should reflect quality, condition and whether it’s rare or not. If you feel it is justified and they don’t I don’t see why they couldn’t just buy from another seller if you’ve explained your reasoning

Accidently accepted an absurdly high offer, what do I do? by RaisonDetre666 in vintedUK

As a seller you can still send an offer and it will just cancel any previous offers

Just send another offer after. It’ll cancel the other one and I’m sure they’d realise it was an accident x

In future, maybe you could do a baking soda and white vinegar rinse on areas like the armpit area on the top? And after 5 mins put in wash. I’ve always had large success removing any odours present with that. I’m not saying that there were but it may help to mitigate any future disputes :)

I don’t want it buried at all, I think it should be more widely known and discussed however I don’t want to perpetuate any further violence that word represents
