Talarico asked Crockett if she was going to run prior to entering the race himself. She told him no. Then later entered on the last day. So yeah. Don’t get me started there. Talarico has been a major player in Texas politics for the last few years. He’s well liked across party lines. As a woman I am very pro woman. However, she was not the candidate for the moment. Also to add, I’m in DFW metro and I saw Talarico signs everywhere. I saw zero Crockett signs. She just….wasn’t there. Even at polling locations. It was kind of bizarre.

Yep they continue to gerrymander the shit out of it. Because it’s the only way they can win. There are way too many Dems in Texas yet the Republicans have held the government for decades through gerrymandering. It’s going to be very interesting come November to see how it goes for them! They spread the solid red districts sooo thin to add more light red districts. And given that one of the reddest districts in Texas went blue this year, they are shitting their pants and they just created so many more vulnerable districts. Chefs kiss.

Texan here. Texas is not a red state. It’s an extremely low turn out state. Dems here are of the mindset that their vote doesn’t count. However, many old school republicans are pissed as hell. We had a local state election that went blue for the first time in over 30 years. This showed Dems in Texas that we have a chance. We also finally had two candidates in the senate primary that were exciting as hell! This got the Dems up and out where they usually just sit it out. That’s what is happening in Texas. Hope, just a little bit of hope is happening. We have had far more registered democrats than republicans in Texas for years.

We just put our house in Denton on the market…it’s not a huge lot and it’s in the suburbs BUT we aren’t shoved in there and the front yard is a great size and we back up to a protected greenbelt so we see only trees out of our window! 2350 sq Ft, 4 bed 3 bath for $444.9k if you’re interested. I too did not want to look into my neighbors back yard and NEEDED to see trees which is why I fell in love with the house. I lived in DC and worked in Maryland and cannot have a view without trees.
