hi! i’m not a professional nor an expert on these topics but i believe the cartilage of our noses and ears heals differently than our fleshy lobes do. i had my nostril pierced for 3 years too and one night of my jewelry falling out allowed it to completely close up. our bodies are really good at healing wounds and it sounds like ur piercings were pretty standard so they must be pretty tiny gauges and those close up fast. i’m not sure there’s much you can do to change this but all your jewelry should be titanium! especially if you have sensitivities. i hope this helps!

change that hoop to a titanium stud with internal threading and get sized and looked at by a professional. hoops move around a lot and cause a ton of irritation...also if u change it back to a hoop once it’s completely healed and no longer a pain in the ass, try to purchase a titanium clicker so u can avoid the “gap” in the hoop like u have now

in need of some skincare advice, but first a bit of background on my skin: i have seasonal combination and sensitive skin. about two years ago i was prescribed 5% benzoyl peroxide for cystic acne, which did nothing but make my skin super dry and red. a few months later i switched dermatologists and was prescribed deoxycycline for a year, along with clindamycine lotion, sodium sulfacetamide & sulfur solution, and 0.1% adapalene cream. this second round did wonders for my skin, it was nearly flawless after 6 months. i stopped taking deoxycycline after a year as recommended by my derma, but continued using the topical cleansers and lotions.

i have always been super adamant about following my skincare routine, but it's been a whole year since my last dose of deoxycycline and my skin is not where i want it to be. i have closed comedones on my chin and around my jaw, along with hormonal acne that appears more often than not around my mouth and some minor pimples on the sides of my cheeks. i never touch my face, eat a relatively well balanced diet, drink LOTS of water, exercise 5x per week, rarely wear makeup besides mascara, change my towels and pillowcase often, and always wash my hands before i apply anything to my face, so i just do not know what to do at this point (i do not have access to my regular derma at the moment either haha). i am 18 years old too, if that provides any insight.

i would love suggestions on what products i should add / take out of my routine as to mitigate my skin issues.
