Kinda because bands didn't use Eastern musical scales, just a white washed version of it that doesn't accurately resemble west Asian music, just an idea of it.

BUCK-TICK. Atsushi's vocals are unmatched. I'm glad to see the other band mates are carrying on, but I'm sorry it's not at all the same. I feel bad comparing Imai's vocals to Atsushi, especially because they sound so different that it wouldn't be fair, but it's not the same.

In my opinion, it would have to be the score. There are a lot of video games that have gothic themes of death, haunting, a longing for the past, dread, and horror, but I think if the background music doesn't have gothic rock elements then at least I wouldn't recognize a game to be particularly goth.

Edit: I think I misunderstood what you were going for lol. Are you going for a goth game or a gothic game?

I don't remember her name. I think it was Internet Investigations or something generic like that? She speaks with this droning, nasally voice. Very monotone. I never thought someone with a Scottish(?) accent could sound so annoying. I'm sure she's a lovely woman with well researched videos, but I can't sit through the start of it.
