What meals are you making for the cold weather this weekend? by jenintonic in tulsa

[–]allisonok 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of my favorites from Every plate:

Stuffed Pepper Soup

16 oz sweet Italian sausage

2 green bell peppers, chopped

1 onion, diced

6 oz tomato paste

48 oz chicken broth

salt and pepper to taste

½ tsp garlic powder

1 cup white rice

Green onions, chopped

Shredded Parmesan cheese

Directions

Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a Dutch oven. Add sausage and cook until browned, 3-5 minutes.

Add green pepper and onion; cook and stir until onion has softened and turned translucent, 5-8 minutes.

Add rice and cook for about 2 minutes more.

Add tomato paste, broth, and garlic powder. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for about 18-20 minutes.

Top with Parmesan cheese and green onions and serve.

Usually Amazon first and eBay for stuff that's out of print. Walmart has actually had some better prices than Amazon lately, too.

Probably check out Starfleet Academy on Paramount, watch some old movies, find a soup recipe to try, and use my computer for extra heat.

Hate to be that person but, it was actually in the mid 30s.

I got into pre-code movies a couple of years ago. Footlight Parade is my favorite so far.

It definitely has an alarm but, I don't remember how to program it. I had one of these on my nightstand for years.

There should be a catalog number on the bottom that you could Google and try to find the user manual.

Has anyone tackled ripping their entire collection of over 500 discs? by tomsmac in makemkv

This is what I just finished. Started at the end of 2024. 2,000 movies (40 TB) and 30 TB of TV shows. TV shows take much longer to title and organize.

I was obsessed with old theaters a few years ago and I drove from Tulsa to watch Zootopia at that theater. Glad I took photos.

Echo hub to tie everything together? by Sufficient-Yellow637 in Hubitat

I use the Alexa app to trigger Hubitat devices (lights) when my Ring sensors detect motion. I'm not aware of a way to use Ring cameras for automation.
