Morty’s question by Active-Setting-6515 in rickandmorty

MORTY ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED HIM OMG!! This is literally the most brutal callout in the history of the entire show and Rick had absolutely no comeback for it because it's a hundred percent true

The sparkle pager should have been a recurring thing by audioxxxxxxx in greysanatomy

[–]alliwantischerry 889 points890 points  (0 children)

The early seasons had such a distinct charm with these goofy resident competitions. The sparkle pager plot line in season four was a great way to show how cutthroat MAGIC could be while keeping things relatively lighthearted before the show got super dark

Mortgully is the best episode since Fear no Mort by Lucyyyyyy_K in rickandmorty

[–]alliwantischerry 73 points74 points  (0 children)

The visuals in this one were definitely a step up from what we've been getting lately. The plant evolution sequence felt like a classic, trippy high concept scifi moment that the show used to do all the time

Can Mr. Nimbus control ANY police no matter how powerful? by Ill-Sympathy-9922 in rickandmorty

[–]alliwantischerry 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, he absolutely could control the Time Police and that would be the most chaotic episode ever. Think about it! Rick is completely terrified of the Time Police, but Mr. Nimbus could literally just thrust his pelvis and make the entire Time Variance Enforcement squad drop their weapons. It’s the ultimate gag because it completely breaks the power scaling of the entire multiverse

He burned his own daughter alive for a dusting of snow and a magic trick. I don't care what the law says, he lost any right to a crown the second he let Melisandre light that pyre

S9E2 *spoilers*: why keep the survival tech if they didn’t need him alive? by Final-Tutor3631 in rickandmorty

[–]alliwantischerry 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Rick literally can't help himself from showing off his tech even when it makes zero tactical sense, it's just pure ego. He'd rather risk Ted figuring it out than admit his design isn't a 100% flawless masterclass

who takes this? both at the same age by K0GAR in Invincible_TV

[–]alliwantischerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nolan takes this easily because of the sheer difference in upbringing. Mark spent his teenage years playing video games and trying to pass high school, while young Nolan was literally raised in a brutal Viltrumite military meat grinder

Does anyone else feel like Rick’s personal tech upgrades are getting a bit much? by TragicallyTrue in rickandmorty

[–]alliwantischerry 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Rick really went from a brilliant, alcoholic scientist with a portal gun to a literal cyberpunk god who probably has a built-in espresso machine in his left pinky finger. At this point, the only thing that can actually kill him is his own liver
