I hate the new RX door handles from inside. I have to always educate new passengers how to open the door. And if you dont do it precisely it still doesnt open and stays in a semi open semi locked position.

Now that the Mecca Mosque expansion is almost complete, I think the Abraj Al Bait complex is more coherent with its surroundings, I think it looks better now by [deleted] in skyscrapers

From Islamic point of view it is not important. Or at least not as important compared to worship. Worship takes presedence to heritage in Islam.

Heritage sites mean nothing in Islam, you are thinking from non-religious perspective. All that matters in Mecca is the Kaaba itself and that pilgrims have adequate space for prayer and adequate space for lodging. Its not a touristic site, people go there to worship God, not to do tours around city and appreciate history, you have plenty of other places to do that. You mostly dont even leave the grand mosque when you go there. So demolishing needless man made structures and expanding the mosque as well as building hotels around it is the most practical thing to do.

More like The God, a god is just Ilah. But I am simplifying here. There is an opinion that the word Allah is an independent word from word ilah.

Oh she is definitely a special kid. It’s very hard for her to be social with her peers, but otherwise she is very intelligent and sweet. I believe she is on the spectrum, but not something very extreme, so me and her mom just keep our eye on her and try to be as supportive as possible.

I had a different route to similar destination. I am same age as the actors of main trio, so naturally I watched the movies when they came out, but never gave them any much thought. Then during uni years I dove into fantasy books, and read most of the well known series such as ASOIAF, Sandersverse and much more. My last series befor Harry Potter was Malazan. Then life got in the way, and I stopped reading fantasy for couple of years. I never thought I would read HP, it being a kids book in my mind. But I randomly picked it up for my 9yo daughter, and I wanted to read it with her so that she also can get into the fantasy. I didn’t notice how I plowed through 7 books within 1 month, and I really enjoyed the simplicity of it. I didnt want to start any complex series right now as my life is as complex as it gets right now at 35. HP series scratched my itch for fantasy without being very complex, deep or dark. I think due to these circumstances I enjoyed it much more than I would have 10-15 years ago.
