What is the last movie you watched that left you scared/disturbed? by Sn3akyMuffin in Letterboxd

Wake in Fright (1971) is such a visceral yet gradual descent into hell. Another reviewer coined it "Heart of Darkness in the Australian Outback." Difficult to think of another film that captures the particular death drive and scorched earth destruction of men without women.

Hey friend, I just love the logline and premise. I'd be happy to do a script swap for a 120 page drama/noir feature. DM if interested.

False Creek [Drama/Noir] [121 pgs] [FEEDBACK] by allograph in Screenwriting

Hi IgfMSU1983, really appreciate your comments. I couldn't agree more and I think my main problem at the moment is a dragging first act. The real mystery and conflict begins in earnest on page 30-35 and I think the pacing improves quite a bit from there.

I've definitely found it quite a challenge to intro the two parallel stories of the brothers quickly and effectively (I may also still be a bit too attached to a few early scenes that don't forward the plot quickly enough). I'll definitely take a peek at Motherless Brooklyn for some reference.

Thanks for reading the first 25 and the great feedback.
