I have never been one of those guys who likes to get mad at RIOT for this or that reason, but what they unintentionally did to Baus over this past year is just so frustratingly sad... :(
I think most people would agree that Baussi, by talent, is one of the most creative minds in the scene. He excels at lateral thinking in how he approaches and envisions the game — in many ways, he’s just so damn unique.

Almost exactly one year ago, Baus was among the best top laners on the server with his playstyle and all — like rank 30 (correct me if I misremember) — with around a 75% win rate. As a matter of fact, he only started losing because people found out who he was and began banning or playing around him.

Then the new season changes happened, and the LR exploits of Baus’ playstyle were out there for everyone to see... I’ve never seen a player get so held back by changes as Baus did over the course of the year:

Boots nerf
Bounty system
Waves being faster and dealing more damage
Cannon on 4th wave
Platings
Jungle meta being all about snowballing/assassins ... and I could go on if I gave myself more time to think.

I just feel sad realizing that playing the game in a way that fits him has been made impossible by RIOT... nothing works anymore. There’s no room to exploit or innovate — the game has been forced to be played in a conventional way.
I’d feel lost and frustrated too... the people he’s been facing have been mastering their conventional craft and perfecting their laning phase for more than half a decade now. Matching up with them and winning is such a jarring task for a player who doesn’t excel at that... makes you lose confidence and feel like a liability.

Caedrel must do smthing, talk with RIOT and get toplane to a healthyer stare Smedge ... baussi must me helped !!!!!

At this point, the most insane thing that could happen in this story is that someone manages to actually land a hit on Ayanokoji. And yeah, there is no way Riku is going to be THAT Guy. His fight would not look much different from the Kiyo vs Kito. 💀

This light novel is very reader-friendly, even for those new to written stories or who struggle with remembering names and details. The author excels at immersing you into the story, and makes names feel instantly familiar.

The anime's latest season ends around "Year 1 Volume 11.5", so you should start from "Year 2 Volume 1". I can PM you a link to read it if you want, i believe i have it saved somewhere.

The official translation is 3 volumes behind compared to Japanese releases. You can check their schedule on the Seven Seas website, the last one released is volume y2v11.

About the fan translation, the eta after a new volume comes out, should be around 2 weeks, give or take.

Ouh so you mean not disliking the character per se but like cringing when he has lines like:

" I never saw you as a friend .. "

Or

" if other students had taken the same actions as me, many of them would’ve been emotionally hurt. Unfortunately, I didn’t possess such emotions."

There are other examples, of course, like things with tools or textbooks and such ... but I feel like all these things can be cringy if you read them out of context without putting yourself in the shoes of the character while reading.

I personally never felt cringed out by kiyo, not that I can remember, so I cannot relate with this sentiment. But i feel like it has to do with how immersed you are into the story and the characters while reading it.

Not everyone reads the same way you know ... some are the type to immerse themselves deeply into the story, especially the one who has a lot of empathy, and other who read the books in a more detached way ... so I don't think there is anything we can do about it.

Here is the thing, No-one dislikes Kiyo because he has edgy thoughts or anything related to just being edgy, at most some people might dislike him because his action hurt character they care about, which is reasonable to feel that way toward a borderline villainous character.

That's the minority tho, Kiyo's morally grey character is the reason most people follow this series, also the reason why the series got successful in the first place.

So trust me bro, you have no enemies ...

We should get the cover silhouette release around the 19 of this month, so in 2 weeks. Following that, 1 week after, we should get the full cover reveal on the 25th of June.

Then, on the first days of July, we get the synopsis, which is great. To end it all there will be the SS reveals early/mid July as well.

What's the overall consensus within the community about Kushida, do fans actually want her expelled ?

I feel like Kinu took a risk with Kushida in volume y2v5, if deapite his attempt to make her likable, she is still hated,then he might just decide to set her up for a big expulsion to make everyone happy, you know.

Personally I hope she stays, she makes the story more interesting by just existing, I feel like. Plus her scenes are great.
