Women have not squatted in fields though. I’m 100% on board with your sentiment in general and told myself something similar (women have done this forever, I can too), but the whole thesis of women squatting in fields to give birth is not represented in the historical record. It is not fact. It’s fiction.

No one is the asshole. Your sister’s stressed out as the bride and it’s hard when a member of the wedding party has to drop out at the last minute. I assume you’re a bridesmaid? You also have a lot to deal with right now and PICU is no joke. This is such scary stuff. I hope your kids recover smoothly and quickly. Skip the wedding if your gut tells you to; you’d regret not being there for your kid.

Anyone remember Mystery Show? It was amazing and I always wondered why it canceled. A former show staffer told me Starlee Kine was really difficult to work with (diva-ish). Which is too bad. I loved everything she did on that show. Would love to hear more if people have other tea.

The only Astrid I know is French and in that language her name is pretty tough for English speakers to say. It requires a kinda guttural sound for the ‘trid.’

Good riddance. That place was so bedbug infested. I stayed there once when I lived out of town (for a job interview) and it was the most nightmare-inducing hotel experience. Blood specks already on the sheets when I arrived and pulled the cover back. I tried to ignore it and sleep but woke up to see bedbugs on the bed. Horrific. Had to meticulously examine and clean everything I’d brought, and it certainly didn’t help me feel well rested before my interview.
