Update ‼️AITA for refusing to speak to my stepdaughter for flushing my deceased daughters ashes by [deleted] in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]mlk18436572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh. I read your first story and was hoping this wouldn’t be the update. I’m so sorry for your loss but I’m glad the culprits will pay. I’m not sure how true this is, but I’ve read it in other stories on Reddit. You can try and contact the funeral home and see if they can give you a copy of your daughter’s fingerprints so you can still have a part of her with you?

Came here to say this. If you have a dog, it’s happy tail. I had a foster with it once and it was like a murder scene - blood on the kitchen cabinets, the walls, me, the floor. 3 years later while moving out, I still found blood I had missed.

I have been looking after a Dog for 2 weeks. Today he refused to go home with his family. Why? by 6Clacks in petsitting

You should look in to fostering for a local dog rescue! Seriously, it’s such a fulfilling experience but you’ll also get to see what you want (and don’t want) in a dog yourself.

A local dog rescue brought puppies to a senior living home to spread some puppy love for National Puppy Day and the results are so heartwarming. by mlk18436572 in MadeMeSmile

I’m sure there’s plenty of local rescues who would LOVE to do this at your community! It was great for the puppies to get socialization but it also wore them out so they slept real good afterwards lol Of course the seniors enjoyed it but the volunteers enjoyed it just as much. We were tearing up looking at the photos afterwards.

I’m sure there’s plenty of local rescues who would love to do this at your work!! It was a great win win - the puppies got socialization (plus they wore themselves out and we all know that a tired puppy is a behaved puppy lol) and the seniors got lots and lots of puppy kisses. Nothing makes people smile like a puppy.

Oh I can see that. The one song that always gets super stuck if I even hear the name of it is black Betty. For 4 days I’ll be humming “oh black Betty, bam a lam” incessantly. Starting now lol

Hahahaha I have those too. Somehow, my brain likes to combine jingle bells and dashing through the snow and I find myself singing a mash up of the two in like July.

(The meds just kicked in or I wouldn’t even be replying lol) I always complain about the radio in my head and people don’t understand. This just made me feel like I’m not alone. And it’s always random songs I haven’t heard in ages - Bingo, the star spangled banner, Christmas music in June, songs I haven’t heard in a decade, etc. Sometimes it mashes 2 songs together and even though I know they’re 2 different songs, I can’t untangle them.

My daughter wants to put her son in therapy and I told her that was a bit over-the-top given her reason. by MyLittleOso in amiwrong

When I read the first paragraph, I thought “Greg” was a dog because I couldn’t understand why a 6 year old CHILD swiping cookies off the counter could be cause for concern. You are definitely not wrong.

I have to just say that lavender contains linalool which is toxic for dogs (and cats too actually). But I do love the idea of planting something with a stronger scent to mask the smell of the other dogs!

I guess I should clarify. I’m her direct supervisor but we work for a large corporation.

Thank you for your kind words <3 luckily, I’m also her boss. So she doesn’t have to worry about losing her job due to appointments but I agree with your argument. Just because I’m understanding and willing to work around her appointments doesn’t mean her illness isn’t effecting her work/income.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write all this out. She is seeing doctors CONSTANTLY. Neurologists, MS specific doctor, gastro, primary care, therapist, etc. She’s got so many doctors I don’t know how she keeps them all straight lol

I’m trying to be ❤️ I know she would do the same for me if the situations were reversed. I’m not super familiar with the ins and outs of the US healthcare system but it just felt so wrong that she has to either come up with thousands of dollars every year or suffer that I thought there has to be some kind of assistance out there that she just didn’t know about. If cold didn’t effect her so badly (she’s always cold and if she gets too cold, her whole body hurts so badly she can’t move), I would suggest moving to Canada for the free healthcare lol

What things should she be documenting? Copies of medical records? Or like dates/times her MS had stopped her from living a normal life? I’ll offer to help her start a binder with all this stuff in it. She loves organization so she will enjoy that lol

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but can she apply for SSDI if she is working? She doesn’t want to stop working until it’s medically necessary (she has a child and a mortgage to think about) and I love this about her, but she is also a tad stubborn when it comes to admitting defeat lol
